New Jersey Diner Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 4, 2009
Something new and tasty...I like it! I only used part of an onion though as I didn't want it's flavor to overpower the salad as other's have mentioned.

Slow Cooker Chicken Taco Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
I've made this recipe a lot! It is so easy and always a big hit! I usually use chicken broth instead of beer though. I don't think it makes much of a difference in the flavor, and I figure it has fewer calories that way.

Eclairs II

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2009
These were fun and easy to make! They came out better than expected! I ended up with 10 eclairs, a lot of extra cream and not quite enough chocolate to cover the 10th eclair. I made these for Valentine's Day but our dinner party was rescheduled so I ended up putting them in the freezer. After being frozen for a few days, they defrosted on the counter for about 3 hours and were perfect!

Peppy's Pita Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
I have made this pita recipe several times now. I use my baking stone which works well. One thing I've learned after a few attempts is not to be afraid to get the dish towel pretty wet when you go to cover the bread when it comes out of the oven...if you don't cover them with a damp enough towel then they come out crispy. We prefer them nice and soft and serve them up warm with homemade hummus. This recipe is definitely a keeper!

Cottage Cheese Bread I

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2008
I went to make this bread for the first time and discovered that I only had a half cup of cottage cheese left...so I used a half cup of sour cream as well. The flavor and texture was wonderful! I think this is the best bread I have ever made in my bread machine! Definitely a recipe I will use again and again!

Chocolate Cheese Frosting

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
This frosting is awesome! It will definitely be the chocolate frosting I make from here on out...it's really good on graham crackers if you have leftovers after frosting the cake! It makes a huge batch...I frosted a three layer cake and still had a lot leftover.

Lemon Barbecued Chicken

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I used fresh squeezed lemon juice...omitted the onion (because I didn't have one and didn't feel like going back to the store). Marinated chicken breasts overnight and all day, then barbequed. Awesome flavor! Everyone loved it!

Chantal's New York Cheesecake

Reviewed: May 19, 2008
I've made this twice...both times people said it was the best cheesecake they'd ever tasted! I wish I'd made notes to myself about the first time I made it because it seems like it came out looking more perfect, but both times it tasted great.

Coconut Lemon Crisps

Reviewed: May 13, 2008
These cookies were very yummy! Although somewhat time consuming to make, I blame it on myself for trying to get too fancy with the cookie cutters. The coconut topping was a nice combo with the lemon and shortbread-like cookies. I would definitely make these again! Make sure you roll the dough out pretty thin...otherwise the cookies end up being pretty large once stacked and more cakey than crunchy.

Easy Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

So easy, and so incredibly tasty! I didn't have 2% milk so I used whole milk instead...rich and creamy! Yum!

Gourmet Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2008
I made this for dinner last night and it was such a big hit! I will definitely be making it again...and again! I made my own pizza dough in the bread machine and added fresh chives to the dough. Great recipe! Thanks!

Chicken Salad Croissants

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
This was an easy and delicious chicken salad sandwich. I used shredded swiss instead of cubed because I didn't think I'd like biting into the chunks of cheese. It turned out a little too saucy for me...I'll use less mayo next time. Regardless, it was an excellent sandwich!

Chicken Pot Pie IX

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2008
A great basic recipe with lots of room for variation. After reading several other reviews I added extra chicken broth so as not to end up with a dry pie. As a result it was a little on the runnier side but it was still very good.

Oh-So-Good Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2008
Definitely tastes better than it looks! I sliced up an avacado on the plate as a garnish...it tasted great with the casserole and added some color to the dish. I also added black olives and jalepenos. My husband went back for seconds!

For a little bit of a different flavor try a tablespoon of almond extract instead of vanilla. Very yummy!!!

Zesty Coleslaw

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2008
Wow, I just made this...gave it a little taste before slipping it into the fridge and it's already very tasty! I can't wait to serve it up with dinner tonight! I did take other reviewers advice and reduced the dressing as I prefer my coleslaw less on the soupy side.

Chip Truck Fries

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2007
Hmm...Well, I've never had fries from a truck on the street, but these weren't half bad. My husband said they were surprisingly good...and he is a potato connisseur. I would probably make them again...but personally I prefer the bagged fries from the frozen foods department at the grocery store.
