Cheddar Bacon Hamburgers

Reviewed: Jul. 30, 2007
I made this for dinner tonight and my red meat loving husband said it was the best hamburger he's ever had! They were juicy with just a hint of bacon. I did add an egg, with splashes of wostershire, A1, and Liquid Smoke, with slice cheese on top. This is the ONLY hamburger recipe i'll use from now on!

Carolyn's Oh-So-Easy Cherry Cobbler

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2009
Great recipe! Easy and very good. It only took me 5 minutes to make, which is a huge plus in my book. I followed the recipe exactly and don't think it really needs any improvement upon. Will also go well with a cup of coffee for breakfast. Thanks!

Easiest Brown Gravy Ever

Reviewed: Sep. 4, 2008
I'm so glad I tried this! I was wary after reading some of the reviews. I wanted a different sauce to go with the meatballs I just made-i'm tired of going with marinara or swedish. I found this and figured I didn't have much to lose. It is so good! I switched the wine for beef broth, it's the only change I made. Tastes like the gravy you'd get in a country cooking restaurant, and made my kitchen smell so good! This is a keeper, thanks!

Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
This is the best honey mustard i've ever had! I put this on broil in the oven instead of the grill and it was still great! I've already used the basting sauce for dip for homemade chicken fingers and a pork tendorloin. I've already got it memorized! Thanks for sharing this keeper!

Creamy Beef Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2008
This is the ultimate in confort food! Very filling and very creamy. Most recipes on here I try once and never make again, this i'll be using over and over, especially on a cold, rainy day. The only things I did differently: I seasoned to suit my family's tastes, and used a sleeve of Ritz crackers, cruhsed, instead of breadcrumbs. Thanks for the yummy recipe!

Secret Sauce Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2008
Yum, yum, yum! This was THE BEST marinade! I marinated for a day and a half, but instead of grilled, I roasted the chicken in the oven..the skin came out nice a crispy with an amazing flavor! My husband even said this was the best chicken i've ever made, and I cook a lot! I can't say enough how wonderful this marinade is.

Marshmallow Treats

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Great! FYI: One 12 oz box comes out to a little over 11 cups. I used the whole box, 1 stick of butter, and one whole bag of mini marshmallows. I like mine the old-school way so I didn't add anything extra.

Gravy Stuffing Chicken Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2009
I've made this about 5 times in the past two months, so I had to come back and leave a review! This is the first meal I make after roasting a chicken--I use the leftover chicken and make the gravy for this out of the pan drippings (instead of jarred). I also just use whatver veggies I have on hand. Great recipe for using leftover chicken and pan drippings! My 6 year old says this is his favorite meal I make.

Corned Beef Hash Cakes

Reviewed: Mar. 19, 2008
These hashcakes are just like the ones my mom used to make! I used leftover corned beef and boiled potatoes from St. Patricks, mashed the potatoes, and followed the recipe. You have to use an egg as a sticking agent, I don't see how it would hold together without. My family ate them all in less than 15 minutes! Great use for leftovers.

Honey Limeade

Reviewed: May 31, 2011
Very good. The proportions were perfect for our tastes. It took six medium limes to make a cup of juice. I did make a simple syrup with one cup of the water, then added that. I was worried about grittiness of the sugar. This one's a keeper.

Easy OREO Truffles

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2011
Heaven. I froze the balls for one hour with toothpicks and had NO problem dipping in the chocolate. I put them in the fridge for 15 minutes and had no trouble sliding them right out..makes it very easy to dip. These were gone in one hour. I only got to eat one!

Ed Zieba's Famous Family Pork Chops

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2008
These are THE BEST Pork Chops ever! No more dry, chewy, chops! I used 1/2 in. boneless, and they were so soft we didn't even need knives! I seasoned according to my family's tastes (more seasonings) and the onions also came out soft and carmelized. I'd make this again for dinner tonight if I had more pork! Thank you, Thank you, submitter! I've always dreaded making pork chops because they come out so tough and chewy, but not anymore!! One of the best recipes on this site!

Aunt Johnnie's Pound Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 26, 2010
I have tried so many pound cake recipes on here, from sour cream to cream cheese and back again. I should've know that the simplest would be the best. This came out so moist, yet not too dense nor fluffy. Perfect, perfect cake. I gave mine a powdered sugar drizzle glaze.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 4, 2010
I made this EXACTLY as written, and it's so good! I don't know how many chili recipes i've tried off this site, but this recipe goes to show that the simplest can be the best! This is the one i'm sticking with from now on.

Mashed Potato Miracle

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2009
Great way to jazz up otherwise boring, lifeless box potatoes. What I like about this recipe is that you can adjust the seasonings to your own personal taste! Some people's bland is another's tasty! I didn't have canned fried onions so I quickly made my own. Served with the Easy Deviled Chicken from this site. Thanks for saving me the time of making homemade potatoes!

Roast Sticky Chicken-Rotisserie Style

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2008
This is the second time i've made this (first was with leg quarters)and it tastes just like Rotisserie Chicken from the Deli! I used a 6 lb. chicken, and then made chicken gravy out of the drippings (this rub makes very flavorful gravy)by wisking 1/4 flour into one cup of water, then stirring it into the pan drippings until boiling. I also have enough chicken and gravy to make a chicken bake tomorrow, and will use the bones to make chicken stock. Talk about getting your Five dollar's worth! The rub is the secret to being so flavorful, gravy, leftovers, and all.

Cream Cheese Frosting II

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
Best frosting EVER. I had no problems with consistency, but I followed the directions exactly. It's not too sweet and doesn't lose the cream cheese flavor, which is what I prefer.

Tomato Chicken Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 24, 2011
This is our favorite chicken parmesean recipe! I followed EXACTLY as written. I didn't feel the need to pound the chicken, since i'm baking them in the oven, not trying to cook them thoroughly on the stove. I make this in the morning and then just pop it in the oven for 30 minutes in the evening.

Butter Flaky Pie Crust

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2011
I've never been good at making pie crust, so I always buy the pre made ones. I gave this an attempt and it came out perfectly! I don't have to spend $4 on premade ones anymore!
