Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
America's Test Kitchen does this same recipe but they brown the butter instead of just melting it, which takes these from great to fantastic. I like to add half chocolate chips and half butterscotch chips. They're great as a chocolate chip cookie, but everyone I've tried them on loves them best with the butterscotch, too.
Just as the video shows, the dough will be really soft, so don't be tempted to add more flour. They will turn out the perfect combination of crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside.
