Refreshing Lentil Salad

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Such an awesome recipe - thank you for sharing!! Lentils were finished in 15 minutes FYI and I cooked them in chicken bouillon. I just made it and between me and my hubby it is now almost gone so next time I will definitely double it. I forgot the chili pepper and instead used a few shakes of ground red pepper. Used 1.5 lemons. LOVED IT.

Moroccan Tagine

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2012
This recipe came out beautifully and wonderfully! I made it in my creuset and first sauteed the onions with salt for 10 minutes and then added the chicken and the cut up garlic, I added in a tablespoon of paprika for color and then after adding in everything else added in an Israeli spice - Hawaijj which is a mixture of tumeric, cumin and nutmeg, I substituted honey for sugar about 3 tablespoons and I roasted the butternut squash seeds and put them back in at the end. I also used half a can of chickpeas, half a butternut squash and half a carrot. My husband loved this!!! It was a beautiful fall dish. I used the remaining carrot and butternut squash to make a bisque. Served this with a side of Israeli couscous - it was perfect. Thank you for the recipe!

Blueberry Pumpkin Muffins

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
Fabulous! Such a fool proof recipe - I somehow had run out of baking powder and ended up using a teaspoon of cream of tarter, I substituted blackberries for blueberries because they were cheaper and added a cup of chocolate chips. I also needed to make these pareve (neither meat nor dairy) so I substituted canola oil for butter and almond milk for milk. I also added extra cinnamon and allspice instead of nutmeg. These are awesome! Definitely a keeper.

Barbeque Chicken

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
My husband LOVES this chicken and always requests it - I have made it with breasts and drumsticks too and still fabulous. I added in a dash of liquid smoke and olive oil. I also left out the mustard powder because I didn't have any. Its a keeper!

This is a wonderful and fool proof recipe - I halved the amount of tomatos but aside from that followed exactly and was asked for the recipe.

Broccoli and Tofu Stir Fry

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
This was a great starter recipe! I used extra firm, light tofu, cut it into triangles and sauteed it first in sesame and olive oil, and set aside. I also added in some peanut sauce, and thai chili sauce and tripled the other ingredients. I didn't have cashews so I chopped up almonds and added those at the end. Its a keeper!

This was delicious and very versatile! I used crumbles since I'm a vegetarian and added barbecue sauce instead of Picante and a little chili powder. Absolutely delicious!

Lentil Chili II

Reviewed: Aug. 23, 2008
I gave this a four since it came out WAY too bland without extra spices - I also added in Tomato Sauce and some barbecue sauce as well and let it cook about 45 minutes longer so all ingredients could blend together. It makes A lot - great to freeze or for a crowd

Curried Rice Pilaf

Reviewed: Dec. 16, 2007
I'm giving this a four just because i don't think this would have been nearly as good without my modifications. I used olive oil instead of butter, more curry powder, more rice, a dash of nutmeg, added the raisins in while it cooked and then tossed it with already made made honey roasted almonds after

Popularity Cookies

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
I gave this recipe a four because I found the peices incredibly hard to make let alone cut. I had made it in a pyrex dish as someone had suggested so maybe that was the problem. Also my butter sugar mixture was difficult to even out throughout the cookies. Aside from that good!
