Amazing Spicy Grilled Shrimp

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2011
Amazing! I used cilantro & lime rather than lemon and parsley due to what I had on hand. Served with grilled asparagus and Jasmine rice. It was a great Valentine dinner.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2010
Amazing as-is, but I cannot wait to experiment with fillings. I was wondering: Can I make the dough the night before and refrigerate it until the morning?

Cream Cheese Pound Cake III

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
I'm only giving this a 4 because I think I'll need to make some high altitude adjustments. It had a great texture but didn't rise into a dome for me (altitude) I made 2 loafs in stoneware, I started it in a cold oven and it took just over an hour. I added a little glaze and served tith Passion Fruit mousse for a dinner party. Raves all around! Thank you.

Brazilian Passion Fruit Mousse (Maracuja)

Reviewed: Jul. 2, 2009
I also made this recipe for someone from Brazil, they said it was just right. I left out the sugar and for a double batch, I used one 14 oz package of Goya brand Passion Fruit pulp. I scooped it onto poundcake, everyone loved it. Goya makes many other fruit pulps, so you can bet I'll be experimenting with this!

Delicious Ham and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
Rich, but delicious. I topped it with shredded cheddar like I do with my baked potato soup recipe and it was NOT necessary! Also, this got very thick so I'll probably keep some chicken stock on hand to thin it out just a bit. Hubby raved - thanks!

Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2009
Delicious!! (and easy) my 2 teenage stepsons had seconds! I added mushrooms and will probably substitute asparagus for the bell pepper next time. I also used more sausage than called for - a whole pkg. of chicken italian sausage (from Trader Joe's) - all 5 links for 8 servings.

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
The corn syrup is the key to the glossiness I was always missing. I did have to thin it out with more milk than called for, but otherwise was easy to work with.

Christmas Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
I made(mostly)as directed and it took an extra 20 minutes @ 375 to get the jiggliness out of it. Next time will add some eggs and take out some milk. I used a rustic roasted garlic loaf, pork sausage, mushrooms and white cheddar. It was still delicious and got all eaten up!

Dijon-Tarragon Cream Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
The only thing I did differently was that I deglazed the pan with white wine. I served it with steamed brown rice & Broccoli. My family likes mustard - so the oly thing I will do differently next time is add more. I may also try it with split skin-on breasts ro retain a little more moisture in the chicken. But truely, this was simple & delicious!

Thai Peanut Butter Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2009
Fast and Delicious. I'm adding this to my bag of tricks. I served it over angel hair pasta, steamed veggies and sliced roasted chicken. A few substitutions I made: I used Coconut Milk and a little brown sugar in place of the corn syrup and because I had it on hand, I used fried garlic and chile sauce from the asian market in place of the cayenne powder. Delish!
