Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Jun. 2, 2010
I love this chili! Quick and terrific. The only thing that I did different, was to add a few more ounces of salsa. I used a canned salsa which was 7 oz, so I used about 1 1/2 cans, so about 10 oz total. Hubby loved it!

Classic Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2010
When I made this recipe the first time, in December, it was without any changes. The cookies were just ok. I made them a couple of days ago with the extra 1/2 cup of peanut butter, extra 1/2 cup of flour and 1 tsp of vanilla. Plus only cooked for 8 minutes so they were still soft in the middle, but lightly brown on the bottom. Out of this world. Everyone that has tried them said they were perfect! :)

Almond Bark Drop Cookies

Reviewed: Oct. 3, 2009
These are wonderful! Turned out way better than expected. Everyone that tried them loved them, even hubby who doesn't like sweets. I wasn't sure about the peanuts, but added them anyway, and I am sure glad that I did. Wouldn't be the same without them.

Tartar Sauce I

Reviewed: Jun. 8, 2009
I only used 1 T. of lemon juice, and used dill relish instead of sweet. Chilled for a couple of hours, and it turned out great! A nice simple recipe.

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
This is everyone's favorite cookie that I make! These are the changes that I have developed and they turn out perfect every time (have made over 30 times). Double the recipe and add 1 t. coconut extract, 2/3 bag of white chocolate chips and 1 c. of macadamia nuts. I bake for 12 minutes. Not necessary to chill the dough. Incredible!

Beef Pot Roast

Reviewed: May 12, 2009
OMG - this was sooo good and tender! I followed the recipe exactly (I always do the 1st time I try a new recipe), and I wouldn't change a thing. Once I seared the meat (3-4 min on each of the sides of the rump roast, about 20 min total), I changed it to a smaller pan that fit better. I read the other reviews, and didn't want to take a chance that it would be tough because of too much space in the pan. It's amazing that such a simple recipe can be so good - can't wait to try it again! :)
