Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2014
I made this twice in one week. It was so delicious and moist. It will be my newest favorite banana bread recipe. Thanks Janet.

Old Charleston Style Shrimp and Grits

Reviewed: Jan. 8, 2014
I was missing a few ingredients including bacon, but this was still delicious. I have tried many similar recipes, and this one is definitely a keeper.

Syrup on the Bottom French Toast Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2014
Made for Christmas morning. A bit too sweet for most of our taste. I forgot to put in the light corn syrup, but it probably would not have added anything except more sweet. It does reheat very well.

Amazingly Easy Irish Soda Bread

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2013
I am one of those people scared of "dough". I followed the instructions and it was fabulous, texture and taste. My husband wants more.......

Southwest White Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2013
I liked it, however I thought it needed a bit more moisture. I might add some chicken broth to my leftovers. I also think it needed a little more bite which is easily corrected.

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Bit too many chocolate chips and I used mini chips. Tried same recipe with cranraisins and it was perfect.

Great taste. Biggest change is ADD more pecan, minimum, two cups. This is Pecan pie, let's have it!

Vegetarian Tortilla Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I made this for two of 35 at my holiday party who are vegetarians. Not only did they enjoy seconds, but the other party guests were dipping in. Fast and delicious.

Fifteen Minute Chicken Chili

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I made this for a crowd and 3X the recipe. I increased the chicken a bit and it was the first of three soups gone. I'd call it a 30 minute CC

Banana Sour Cream Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
This is one of the best Banana breads with sour cream. I have made many in the past, and this is a winner. It freezes well also. Then you won't be tempted to eat in all in a day!

Spinach Artichoke Hummus with Roasted Red Peppers

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
This is fabulous and flavorful. However, I used fresh spinach and the hummus is VERY green. We did not mind, would look great on your Christmas Brunch table. The colored picture was deceiving.

Amish Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 2, 2010
I made this for company, family brunches, and tennis friends. It is always a hit. There are never any leftovers. I like to substitute the Southwestern Hash Browns for more zip.

Spinach and Strawberry Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 20, 2010
I enjoyed this salad. However, I reduced sugar, but it was still a bit too sweet. Also, the poppy seeds could be omitted. The dressing was good, just use less sugar.

This review comes from an artichoke lover. I made it for Christmas Day and everyone ate it until it was gone. So happy to have a new Artichoke Dip recipe. Thank you.

Phyllo Turnovers with Shrimp and Ricotta Filling

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2010
This was fun to make and we really enjoyed it. I made it twice. The second time I added garlic powder and more ricotta and filled about a TBL. I brought it to a friend for New Year's Eve and it complimented their dinner perfectly.

Spanish Rice Bake

This recipe was good for a weekday meal. My husband and I always rate new recipes by asking if it is suitable for company, this does not get the vote.

Pork Roast with Sauerkraut and Kielbasa

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
Taste fabulous! However, next time I will reduce cooking to four hrs. on high or six on low. It was difficult to cut, and shreaded. Six hrs. was way too long. I had a three lb roast, and would add more kielbasa and maybe less sauerkraut. However, the beer was a plus. Company loved it, and it is easy for a weeknight.

Vegetable and Feta Latkes

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
This is a bit time consuming, but worth it. I refrigerated the patties on wax paper until ready to fry up, and no harm done. Served it with pork and the company loved it. If you like onion, it is a 1/2 cup must add.

Asiago Toasted Cheese Puffs

Reviewed: Mar. 28, 2009
One huge problem is this recipe does not serve 12. It flew off the serving plate and we were five adults. I am lucky to have even tasted it. I prepared the mix and refrigerated until ready to use. Worked out perfectly.

Irish Cream Chocolate Cheesecake

Reviewed: Mar. 21, 2009
I give this five stars, although I did not prevent the cake from cracking. I placed a pan of water in the oven under the cake. The next time I may place the pan directly into a bath. The cake was better than bakery quality and I did increase the Irish Cream. I would serve with whip cream or cool whip. A winner!
