My favorite things to cook
I love to bake. I love cook I can't say I have a favorite thing to cook, I love looking on the website for new ideas and to try different things and I think that is why I am enjoying cooking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mom and Grandmother make the best spaghetti gravy ever! So for Christmas the family tradition is Italian spaghetti lasagna the whole deal. My other grandmother was Irish and the only traditions I think she had was to cook a lot and in huge amounts. She made Christmas cookies and she stored them in five gallon drums on her attic stairs. So I think that is where I get my love of baking from. Oh and every thanksgiving the night before my cousins and I would send the night by her house and break bread for her stuffing, because she would make 3 turkey's yes 3!She passed away and I like to think that is a reason i like to cook as well i like to think i have her in the kitchen with me.
My cooking triumphs
When I finally duplicated my grandmother Peanut Butter Ball recipe. I loved them growing up. Now my family and friends always expect them at Christmas. I love to make them because so many people just love them.
My cooking tragedies
Toffee I can't make that to save my soul. I have tried over and over again. I also made an Italian dessert for my grandmothers 80th birthday, I can't remember the name of it but it was terrible I have never tried it before so I don't what possessed me to try it for a big party.

Cranberry Salsa
This recipe is great! I use to buy Cranberry Salsa from the Elegant Farmer no need anymore. I made it the night before to serve the next day for Christmas Eve. I did add a half of green pepper and half red pepper and used half a large red onion instead of using green onions those were my only changes. It came out FANTASTIC! I served it with tortilla chips. I am going to make it again for New Years Eve!

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles
These cookies are great! The house smelled great while they were cooking I couldn't wait to try them. The only thing I did different was I used all butter. Thanks for the recipe I will be making them again for sure.

Stuffed Shells III
This was so good and makes a ton. The only changes I made were to use fresh parsley and I didn't use the mushrooms just don't like them. Per another reviewers suggestion I put foil over the baking dishes and took it off for the last ten minutes of baking. It really needs 2 jars of sauce for the amount of shells that it makes.
