Jerky Lover's Jerky - Sweet, Hot and Spicy!

I got a food dehydrator for Christmas last year and haven't done much with it. The other day, we decided to try to make beef jerky and found this recipe. I don't think I need to look anywhere else - this recipe is great! Tastes like "professional" jerky you might buy at the store or smokehouse.

Unbelievable Chicken

This tasted great - my kids (16 and 19) really liked it. I marinated the chicken overnight and was a little worried that it might have been too much, but it was really good. The only change I made is that I used 2 teaspoons of regular mustard, and 1 of Dijon mustard. I wasn't really sure that the recipe called for just Dijon or not, but next time I will use a full 3 teaspoons of Dijon to see what it turns out like.

Easy Paella

We made this recipe after eating paella at a restaurant in New York state. Not sure if this is authentic or not, but it was very good! We stuck to recipe as exactly as the recipe details.

Slow Cooker Stuffing

This is real similiar to what we usually make for Thanksgiving dinner only we usually cook it in the oven - which is usually full of other stuff! Next time I think we will cut down on some of the butter and put the mushrooms in it (made it without because we didn't have any on hand). Good old fashioned stuffing recipe.

Molasses Cookies

This made a great cookie, kind of like big ginger snaps. I was looking for a molasses "cake-like" cookie and tried this one. Not cake-like, but still great.

Amish Macaroni Salad

This was a good alternative to what we usually make for macaroni salad. Tastes like what you would expect from the local deli counter but fresher.

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

This recipe was very good. Don't make the same mistake we did though ... be careful when separating the skin from the breast meat. Ours tore easily and we had to kind of doctor it up. Also, the dripping made good gravy for the potatoes!

Polish Style Lasagna

We made this recipe for dinner tonight. Tastes just like a pierogi! Very good. We served it as the main entree, but I think it would be better served as a side dish (needs some meat to go along with it). Again, very good recipe - added it to the "Tried it - Liked It" file.

Comforting Cube Steaks

Granny Kat's Pumpkin Roll
