This is the BEST baklava EVER. The ones I've purchased at Middle Eastern bakeries do not use butter and that's what makes baklava rich and flavorful and tasty. It's better with butter.

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie
I added 1/2 cup each of ghirardelli semi-sweet and white chocolate chips, and half a package of Heath toffee bits. This is the same recipe from Cook's Illustrated. I think this is the best chocolate chip cookie recipe. I use an ice cream scoop and freeze them. When I need a treat, I'll pop one (or two) in the toaster oven for 16 mins. at 325F. The key is to not overbake.

Cranberry Upside-Down Coffee Cake
The best part of this cake is that it is light and fluffy. Removing the cake from a spring form pan is so easy. I'm giving this recipe four stars because there simply is not enough cranberries for the topping, and there's too much butter in the batter. I would omit the nuts. I'm going back to my old cranberry upside down cake recipe which uses egg whites for volume and a whole bag of cranberries without nuts.
