Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2012
I used Kevin's suggestions 3# bag to a double batch of dressing and it worked out well to make a large bowl. Also cut the sugar to 1/4 cup and tossed in a bit of extra lemon juice (1 fresh lemon's worth)Good as is. Personally like celery seeds and a bit more onion next time

Italian Beef Sandwiches

Very Flavorful ! Live near Chicago but have not tasted the Real thing talked about in other reviews. Used beef bouillon instead of water and omitted salt, also because of hot weather I used crock pot and it was both easy an Perhaps the cut of roast makes a difference in how it slices, it does not require perfect slices to make delicious sandwiches !

Basic ingredients, flavorful but does not over-power the fish. A wonderful welcome for the catch my husband brought back from Alaska. Will use again!

Apple Cranberry Stuffed Pork Chops

Delicious!--raves from husband and guests. Actually could be a great make ahead item--prepare thru browning then refrigerate and bake when needed. Suggest reheating on top of stove before oven baking to keep time consistant. Moist--flavorful and a healthy stuffing!

Spicy Turkey Burgers

Reviewed: Jun. 19, 2007
What a joy to find a flavorful "burger" I could make for my husband who is on a low sodium diet. Took out the soy sauce and salt-used more Worchester. I had Jalapeno peppers and used them--accidentally forgot the cilantro but had no problem with them holding together--wonder if the moisture and texture of the leaves could make them crumbly? Fun to see hubby smile when many low Na foods are so bland !

Spring Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
Enjoyed this on a spring cold snap! I made a double batch--might as well chop a whole cup as half-cup of all these veggies. I doubled and rounded up everything except the noodles and potato--only added 3oz of twisted egg noodles for the double batch--plenty thick, filled with wonderful veg.flavors. Lowered the carbs--and cleaned the veggie bin! Will make again.-Be sure to use fresh veg!THANKS
