About this Cook
I have been married for one year. We got lots of kitchen gadgets from the wedding and of course serving bowls and plates. We have started to entertain other couples and friends that come into town. So, I am on the fast track on learning how to cook and entertain.
My favorite things to cook
Well, I like to have an appetizer, meal, and dessert obviously. I like to have pretty and tastey dishes. I love salads with fruit and nuts in them. I love pork chops with apples. I will eat any kind of dessert! My most favorite things to eat are my husband steaks and asparagus off the grill. Yummy!
My favorite family cooking traditions
Well, I grew up on mostly meat and potatoes. Oh, we lived on a lake so we had a lot of walleye no kidding! My family loves ice cream with hot chocolate pudding over it. God, I love that stuff!
My cooking triumphs
All of dinner parties have gone pretty well. Other than that, no triumphs, every meal I make is a triumph!
My cooking tragedies
Goodness.... I have yet to make anything like rabbit so, they are coming I am sure.

Super-Delicious Zuppa Toscana
followed recipe to a T. except I used half and half instead of whipping cream. Tasted great!

Two Ingredient Pumpkin Cake
Made this today. I also added 1 egg, 1/4 cup sugar, 1 TBS of apple pie spice, 2 TBS of vegetable oil. It baked in 25 minutes. I topped with cream cheese frosting. It was delicious and did not taste like a box cake at all!

White Bean Chicken Chili
Tastes great! I had to tweak the recipe as I could not find tomatillos or salsa verde at my local market. I also added a can of mixed ready to eat beans. I used frozen sweet corn. And I added a small can of fire roasted tomatoes. I cut up a large green pepper and I used half a jar of diced jalapenos instead of green chiles. Thanks!
