Quick and Easy Alfredo Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2009
I made this especially for my very it. I halfed the recipe, used skim milk and shredded parm. Otherwise followed it. Very basic and great. I served it to her over multigrain penne pasta with a large side of brocolli. It's a keeper.

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Very good. I followed the recipe exactly. I used Cameo and Gala apples because it was what I had on hand. My husband loved the crumb topping so much that he recommended doubling it for next time.

Cornish Game Hens with Garlic and Rosemary

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
This recipe was very simple and delicious. The hen was very tender. I did not have a fresh lemon so I used lemon juice which worked fine. I would not make any changes. Thank you for the recipe!

Sloppy Joes II

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2008
This was a very easy to make recipe. I used lean ground turkey instead of beef. I used 1/8 cup of fresh bell peppers and 1/8 of tomatoes from my garden. Also I cut the brown sugar down to 1 T. I will make again for sure. Thanks.

These were great and super easy to make. I took the advice of another user and made sure the butter was softened before. Yummy!

Made these for a group of 15 people. They were fantastic. I kept the mushrooms whole. My new favorite kabob recipe!

Banana Spring Rolls

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2008
My 4 year old daughter prepared these. I did the frying. We added cinnamon to the recipe just for an extra step for my little helper and some added flavor. We used wonton wrappers because that's what we had on hand. I fried them once my daughter left the kitchen area. Fried in about one inch of vegetable oil. I turned every 30 seconds or so to ensure even frying since the wrap jobs were not all even. We did have to be careful and wait for them to cool a bit before biting into because the banana inside was extremely hot. Delicious. Eat same day they were not good the next day in my daughter's lunch.

JELL-O® Easy Patriotic Pie

Reviewed: May 31, 2008
This recipe was EASY. Next time I might add more cool whip to the center layer or some to the top when serving. My family enjoyed the taste and it looks cute for memorial day Fourth of July or just for fun.

Shabbat Challah

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2008
Tasted great. Easy to make. The first time it was a little more dense then traditional Challah. (I forgot to let it rise a second time before baking) It was still great.

Double Tomato Bruschetta

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2008
Very easy to make. I preferred this recipe over the store bought bruschetta. I used only 1 clove of garlic and that tasted great. I didn't have sundried tomatoes so I left them out. I will make these again soon. thanks

White Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2008
Great base with endless options. I have made this several times and usually just add fresh garlic and sometimes basil, salt and pepper. It was very good on top of bowtie pasta with small pieces of (leftover) garlic fried chicken.

Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 27, 2008
I thought they were delicious. My family also enjoyed the dish. (even my oldest child who doesn't usually like meat or poultry) I used 2 boneless, skinless breasts. I soaked my chicken for 1/2 hr in vanilla half & half before cooking. The only thing I will try next time is to replace the garlic powder with some fresh garlic to kick up the taste.

Yum! Very good. I used a food processer to shred the potato and onion. I also used Matzo Meal instead of flour.

Cream Cheese Penguins

Easy to make like all of the other reviewers have stated. They turned out so cute for my daughter's 4th birthday tea party in July. I used little umbrella toothpicks that added to the look. Also very good!

I can't describe the taste. I usually really like eggplant recipes and this one didn't do it for me. My parents said they ate it and it was OKAY but none of my children or husband could eat eat. Sorry.

This was a good recipe. I used lean ground turkey instead of beef. The family has asked me to make it several times. Not fancy, but good plain recipe for the picky eaters.

Rugelach

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2007
I don't have a food processor so it was a time consuming process. This recipe was well worth the time! My first batch was a nut-free and I used raisins and organic apricot preserves. The second I followed the exact recipe. They were gone the next day. My family loved them. I have borrowed my grandmothers food processor and will make some more soon!
