Best White Icing Ever

Reviewed: Apr. 18, 2010
used all salted butter no shortening, increased vanilla, and added 1/4tsp salt, only used 3C powdered sugar, and thinned with additional milk for spreading. This was great not too sweet because of the salt, perfect for us.

i added vanilla, mixed the wet and dry separately then added together. These were very good, can't wait to try with blueberries. did not use the syrup.

Pineapple Chicken

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2010
This was just okay for me. The hunks of pineapple didn't do it for me so picked them out and then it was just okay. More than likely won't make again.

Millie Pasquinelli's Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2009
Really loved this!!! very well seasoned. I deep fried. Found that skin was less crispy when i put the top on the deep fryer. Such a difference in crispiness when i did the second batch and left the top off and fried uncovered. I will be adding this to my all time favorites. Thanks so much for sharing

Grandma's Corn Bread Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2009
very good base recipe, I only modified it a little. made my own cornbread, as a prev reviewer sugg, added 3/4C bell pepper, upped the celery to 3/4-1C. used 3C chicken broth and 1 can of Cream of chicken soup. used poultry seasoning 1 1/2tsp instead of sage. added eggs last in order to test my seasoning. Turned out super yummy and very quick to prepare.

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2009
I followed the recipe as written and while the cookies were soft and chewy with great texture the taste overall was a little off somehow. maybe not enough peanut butter, i don't know. tasted more of the butter/shortening than the peanut butter. I have had better and this is just not what we were looking for. would not make again. I hate that because the overall texture was great.

French Toast Stars

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2008
we loved this recipe. small changes that i made include using half the salt, didn't have orange zest so used extract, also doubled the cinnamon. served this with the best ever pancake syrup from this site. only thick bread that i had was barbecue bread and it worked great. with that type of bread recipe only coated four pieces.

Cinnamon Apple Pancakes

Reviewed: Jun. 28, 2008
i ended up having to tweek this recipe way too much, batter was very runny had to add more flour to thicken and not very flavorful. added a lot more cinnamon and as suggested by other reviewers added vanilla and 2 grated apples. also added brown sugar instead of honey at first, but batter was still bland, so added honey as well and regular sugar also. kept adding until batter was right consistency and sweet enough. wanted them to be just sweet enough to eat plain. after all the experimenting pancakes turned out good but not good enough to make again.

Absolute Best Pancake Syrup

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2008
I loved this. it does taste like a cinnamon roll. The syrup was thin but did thicken up when cooled down, still not thick like regular pancake syrup, but that was okay with me. it soaked into the pancakes really nice. My family loved this and i cannot say enough good things about this. simple to make and will absolutly make again. thanks for the recipe.

very dense cake and it was good, but i prefer regular pound cake. maybe should have upped the lemon flavor as some of the previous reviewers suggested.
