About this Cook
I am a mom of two wonderful kids age 12 and 10 and have been married to my bestest friend for almost 12 years. We enjoy sporting activities with our children and hanging out at home nesting and decorating and updating our home.
My favorite things to cook
I'm a comfort food lover - casseroles, enchiladas, baking - things that are ooey and gooey and make you say mmmmm!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My heritage is Irish so every St.Patricks has always been traditional. Christmas is always celebrated with home made cinnamon roles in the morning and new years with black eyes peas. We are definitely holiday oriented in our food traditions
My cooking triumphs
Hmm, will have to think on that more - Maybe recently getting very close to nailing traditional jaegerschnitzle (my husband is 2nd generation german).
My cooking tragedies
oh so many! Having my husband and his family full of chefs it is very frustrating and I never feel like I measure up (no pun intended) so I self defeat alot.

Standard Greek Salad
Loved this recipe. I only used 3 cucumbers and two tomatoes (because of the sheer volume of the salad) but otherwise this recipe was spot on! I cant wait to have some as leftovers for lunch tomorrow!

Greek Style Potatoes
This was a hit in our house tonight. I didnt add as much lemon and I changed up the bouillon to be the powdered bouillon instead of the cubes and I used only one cube's worth. I baked it with the cover off because we like them to be a bit dryer. Besides my hubby repeatedly saying how wonderful they smelled cooking, both kids and hubby LOVED these. Hubby suggested doubling the batch of seasoning, adding other root veggies and using with a roast. that I will try too!
