Love these! This is my 2nd year making them for Christmas cookie trays and they are always fantastic. Great recipe as written!

This is very close to the coffee cake my grandma used to make. I loved how it made the house smell like butter and sugar .. yum! She poked holes in the top and put small bits of butter in the holes and then sprinkled the cinnamon sugar mixture on top, so that is what I did. This cake rose more than hers and I think her dough was a little sweeter, but this was very good!

Yum! Super easy. I agree that you need to have your butter and baking soda ready to go, and I heated the pan in the oven for a bit to make it easier to spread out. Great brittle recipe!

YUMMM!! I made this fudge today and it was fantastic. I followed the directions and while I let it cool somewhat before adding the butter and vanilla, I think it only cooled down to about 140 or so before I added everything. It was getting pretty thick and hard to stir at that point. Once I added the butter and vanilla, I only had to stir about 3 minutes before it lost its shine and started to harden. I quickly dumped it into my foil lined and greased pan and pressed it down with my hands. 30 minutes later it was set and ready to cut!! YUM YUM YUM! Just like my grandma used to make. I am so happy to have found this recipe! Thank you for posting it!

I made this last night and had it again for breakfast. It was great! I will definitely make it again. i used 3 apples and an 8x8 pan and followed all of the rest of the recipe as written. I baked for about 50 minutes. Yumm!

I thought the spice in these muffins was a little heavy. If I made them again I would omit the allspice and just use cinnamon and nutmeg.

This was good. I would try it again with half brown sugar and half white sugar, but overall I liked the flavor and texture.

I gave this 4 stars because it was just a little too rich for me. They were great bars though. I doubled the oatmeal mixture and it really needed it. I left out the walnuts so my son could try the bars. Over all a good bar recipe, I will make it again to take somewhere, but not to have around the house.

I thought these were just ok. They are very dense, not at all the moist cake like muffin I was hoping for.
