Apple Dumplings with Rich Cinnamon Sauce

Awesome! I made a mistake and mixed all the butter, sugar & nuts together and put them in the shell with the apple. I cooked it and served it without the sauce 'cause I didnt need any more calories. Even better the next day :)

Beef Pot Roast

Great aroma and taste! I didnt have time to sear the meat - just put the olive oil and other ingredients in the dutch oven. Cooked at 325 for 2 hours. Awesome!

Ultimate Twice Baked Potatoes

Awesome flavor, I received many compliments! I added chives which gave a very nice flavor. Minor changes: no bacon, low fat sour cream, skim milk. Used a hand full of fresh chopped chives and sauteed 1/2 small onion instead of the green onion. Only need about 1/4 cup milk.

Balsamic Roasted Pork Loin

Great! I made this beforehand and left the bag in the freezer for 1 1/2 weeks. Cooked in slow cooker about 6 hrs, reduced all liquid in a saucepan and then poured back over pork as a glaze.

Fresh Tomato Pie

Very good! I don't like mayo so I substituted sour cream, added some italian spices. I suggest letting the tomatoes sit a bit so liquid drains off before adding them to the pie.

Barley Bake

Amazingly good! I left out mushrooms because I don't like them, used sunflower seeds instead of pine nuts, chicken bullion instead of stock because that is what I had on hand. Was cooked perfect after 1 hr, 15 min. Used the lowest tray in the oven.

Hearty Split Pea Soup

Fantastic!! I used a nice ham bone from honey baked rather than the chopped ham. Replaced 2 cups of water with chicken stock. It was NOT too thick - it was just as it should be. Thank you for sharing :)

Rich and delicious. Makes a lot of sauce. Use the correct ingredients for the best flavor. It is a little thick so add more coconut milk if you want it a thinner.

Blue Cheese and Red Onion Jam Crescent Thumbprints

I used orange marmalade instead of the apricot preserves. Next time I will really cut down on this ingredient because it was too sweet. Very good though, and everyone enjoyed them. Tip - wet the knife before you make each cut so you don't squish the dough.

Pecan Pie VII

My pie did not set in the middle. I used butter and put a cookie sheet on the bottom rack (just in case), cooked for 65 minutes 'cause it was still all liquid at 40 min. I know the temp of my oven is perfect.
