About this Cook
I love to cook and watch cooking shows on TV. DH also loves to cook and makes dinner almost every night!(I an so lucky!) With a little one at home, I am thinking I might rather cook dinner than watch him too... We had 3 boys ages 10-2 and the 10yo is a picky eater. We have gotten to the point where the kids get what we eat and even if they hate it (which they usually do) that is dinner. I do not run a restaurant!
My favorite things to cook
Dessert! I love to bake.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cookies at Christmas!
My cooking triumphs
We are in a "gourmet" club with 2 other couples so people know we love to cook. Someday I hope to have a professional kitchen...
My cooking tragedies
The first time I made mac & cheese in a ob (30 years ago...), I didn't read the "drain" part so it was soupy! When my oldest did the same thing, I had to laugh to myself...

Cakes In A Cone
Theis looks amazing! My couple of changes were that I just baked the cake in any pan and shoved it in the cones once baked. Cones held up better that way and I didn't have to worry about overflow! Also, I just did regular icing in a zip-top bag with a relatively large hole in the corner. When piped in a circle, the icing looks just like soft-serve ice cream! I topped it with a strawberry malted milk ball (as a cherry) and took them to school for a "cupcake walk" in music class. I was an instant rock star!

Cake Balls
These were amazing! I made them twice and the first time they fell apart when I tried to dip them in chocoalte. I found the key to be to FREEZE them before I dip them in chocolate. When I did that, they were prefect!! They are great to take to an event and have a huge "wow" factor! (Sticks were hard to find. My first catch, I used large wooden coffee stirrers. I did find the real sticks at Michaels) My one box of cake and one can of frosting made 55 cake balls. Maybe they were a bit too small... I used a cookie scoop so they would have a flat base. They were all the same size and I did not get as dirty when I rolled them by hand!

Molasses Sugar Cookies
Couldn't stop eating them! I was originally looking for a sugar cookie, but found this instead and am SO GLAD that I did. Totally forgot why I wanted the other one! Will make this often!
