Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
Fabulous. I made one modification and that was to use only a 1/4 cup of shortening and 3/4 cup of margarine. This was only because I ran out of shortening. Even with this modification, these turned out perfect. I will definitely make again and again.

Chicken Cordon Bleu II

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2004
This was one of the best new meals I have tried in a long time. My husband was just as thrilled. I followed the recipe exactly. I will use this one for company in the future.

Chicken and Biscuit Casserole

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2004
This was pretty good but I think I would have left out the dried basil. I did appreciate the fact that it was a more healthy alternative to some of the pot pie recipes.

Chocolate Caramel Candy

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
I could not believe the response I got from this candy. Everyone asked for more and talked about how tasty it was. We nicknamed it "the Snicker candy." It was a bit time consuming to make just because the layers had to cool but it was well worth it. The layers looked for beautiful once the candy was cut. I will use this recipe over and over. Wonderful!!!

Homestyle Turkey, the Michigander Way

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
This is the first turkey I've ever done completely on my own and it turned out fabulous. I used canned chicken broth instead of the boullion and it had a wonderful flavor. The best part was the flavor of the gravy. Thanks for sharing!

Cranberry Sauce Extraordinaire

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
This was a perfect complement to my Thanksgiving turkey. It had the bite of the cranberries but also hinted at a stewed apples taste. Very good!

Rhubarb and Strawberry Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 15, 2003
Absolutely fabulous! My family went crazy over this even those who would say they don't like rhubarb. A must try!

Black Bottom Cupcakes I

Reviewed: Sep. 12, 2003
I've been making these for years from a recipe that is almost identical. They are a hit everywhere I bring them. I have never had the problem with the cream cheese or the chips sinking to the bottom. I would suggest beating the cream cheese mixture longer in order to make it lighter.

Salmon Tango

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
I think the real trick to this recipe is marinading it for a long time. I usually marinade it all day if not overnight. My husband is not a huge salmon fan but the longer I have marinaded it, the more he likes it.

Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2003
This was first attempt at a crepe and it was so easy and so delicious. Now this is my favorite "treat" breakfast for my family. They are great with fruit or vanilla pudding.

This salad is fantastic! It is my husband's favorite meal. I am not a huge blue cheese fan, but it works for me in this salad. I would recommend this to anyone.

Brown-Eyed Susan Sweet Potato Cake

Reviewed: Oct. 14, 2001
This cake was excellent! The chocolate chips added a sweetness that I prefer to the traditional raisins. I will definitely make this one again.
