Disappearing Marshmallow Brownies

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2009
These are good, and definitely have a different flavor, but if you are looking for a great simple blonde brownie, try Blonde Brownies I by Sue Bush, here on allrecipes. Best Blondies I've ever made.

It was really good but missing something. Salt maybe. I'll have to play around with it.

Crispy Cheese Twists

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2008
They are good, but don't try to make them a few days ahead of time. Maybe the day before, but after 2 days they just aren't as good as they were that first day.

Cucumber Favorites

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2008
I was trying to figure out something to do with some left over cucumber that I had. I just straight up made this into a sandwich on wheat bread. It was surprisingly good!

Italian Teething Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2008
I didn't like them, baby didn't like them, they got moldy in 2 weeks. So they definitely don't last a month in an airtight container.

Really good. Added a lot more sauce and I had to cook it a lot longer. Closer to 1 1/2 hrs.

Hamburger Spanish Rice

I added garlic powder. I would tell you how much, but I don't measure.. Just dump! :) Good - quick and easy! Hot sauce would be a good add if you want some extra spice!

I'm not a big fan of celery soup. This was really good, but next time I think we'll try cream of mushroom. :)

Rich and Creamy Roasted Eggplant Soup

Reviewed: May 20, 2007
It was very bland. I added so much salt and pepper. I also tried adding hot sauce, more cheese, all kinds of stuff just to give it more flavor. I never really found anything that I particularly liked. We still ate it, but it won't be made again.

Sweet Polish Sausage

Reviewed: May 19, 2007
I changed it a lot, but it was a good base recipe. I didn't cook the sausage first because it's already precooked. I added about 1/4 c. ketchup, used Splenda instead of brown sugar, and added a can of pineapple chunks. It was very good.

Cheesy Sausage Zucchini Casserole

Reviewed: May 5, 2007
Didn't like it with the tomatos, so I made it again and took them out. Then it was awesome! I also don't put it in the oven for more than 35-40 minutes. All the stuff is cooked already, there's no reason to put it in there for an hour!

Lazy Man's Pierogi

Reviewed: Apr. 7, 2007
My husband hates saurkraut and he ate it. I'm from a Polish town and I love pierogi but don't have the time to make them. This doesn't really taste like a pierogi but still good.

Sausage Egg Muffins

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2007
After reading other reviews I changed this up a little myself. I used bacon instead of sausage (my husband likes bacon a lot more).. I added some shredded cheddar cheese (about 1/2 c), hot sauce (2 tbsp), and instead of eggs I used the southwestern egg beaters (3 c = 12 eggs).. I had a little left over after I filled the muffin tins but I just scrambled them up and fed them to my husband. It was delicious!

Easy Lasagna III

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2007
Not nearly enough sauce. I had only bought enough stuff to make what the recipe called for so I ended up using a jar of spaghetti sauce to fill in the rest.. also, i let it bake for about an hour with no boil noodles and the bottom noodles were still a little crunchy.. the cottage cheese mix worked out okay though

Spinach-Stuffed Flounder with Mushrooms and Feta

Reviewed: Feb. 24, 2007
It was okay. It might have been my fish, but it turned out mushy. I added garlic, salt, and pepper to the fish and also to the filling. Instead of water I used lemon juice.

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
My mother always made cabbage rolls when I was growing up. We lived in a Polish town in Western Pennsylvania so cabbage rolls and pierogies are a family classic. Anyway, I don't have the time to make cabbage rolls now that I'm married so I decided to try this recipe. When I did, it just didn't taste right so I called my mom. She says instead of the tomato sauce use spaghetti sauce and tomato juice. So whatever amount the recipe calls for in tomato sauce, substitute that for half of each (i say whatever because i know most of us half this recipe). It gives the sauce a little more flavor and reminds me of my mother's cabbage rolls. This might help for those that said they didn't like the sauce. I also cooked the rice and boiled the cabbage prior to baking and it turned out really well.
