Sweet Dinner Rolls

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2012
I made these rolls for thanksgiving and wow...They were gone so fast! I am glad I grabbed the 2 that I did, otherwise I wouldn't have had any. Deliscious, sweet, buttery...OMG. BEST DINNER ROLL I EVER MADE! I warmed the milk on the stove, melted 1/3c butter and the sugar in it and let sit till lukewarm. mixed into proofed yeast (in the 1/3c warm water and 1 T sugar) added flour a bit at a time, kneeded, let rise, and baked in 375 degree oven for 12 or so, till golden. I put put melted butter on after it was baked. YUM, I got a request to bring make them for our New Year's DAy Feast!

Quick Coffee Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2008
I'm giving this recipe 5 stars because i think that it would have tasted just fine if I hadn't made the changes as other reviewers did. I added more milk, and mixed the melted butter w/ the topping and this came out too moist and the topping wasn't crumbly enough 4 me. If I just followed the original recipe it would have been great! W/ the changes this deserves 3 stars. I say: keep the recipe the way it is. It was a tad too heavy and sweet w/ changes. I have a sweet tooth and didn't care fot it. Next time I will make it the right way and I'm sure it will be scrumptious!

Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
I agev this 3 stars because it came out quite bland. I added cinnamon too. My 2 yr. old likes it, which is great, but I think it's wutever. Nothing special. It would probably be pretty tasty with some banana or maybe pumpkin or rasisins, vanilla....wutever u like, but it does need something. It tastes ok with a jam on maybe. I will definately keep this recipe, but will make changes. If you like foods w/o lots of sweetness/flavor and don't mind bland foods then this is for you. IF YOU HAVE A SWEET TOOTH MOVE ON. Thanks for the recipe anyways!

Maple Pancakes

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2008
I made these yesterday for breakfast and really liked them. They have a yummy wholesome taste. I used whole wheat flour instead of reg. flour for more nutrition. I also added 1/2 tsp cinnamon and 1/2 tsp vanilla. Unfortunately my 2 yr. old didn't like them, but I love them. It made 7, 1/4 cup servings for me.

Brown Sugar Cut-Out Cookies and Icing

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2007
I also added an egg to the batter as other reviewers did, and had to add more milk. The dough was almost as crumbly as a graham cracker pie crust w/o them! I didn't cut them out w/ cutters, I just sliced them after refrigeration to make it easier and faster than cut-outs. I wanted them rounded for egg shapes for easter. The cookies tasted good, not very sweet, but a good flavor. Goes well with any frosting...adds more sweetness. I saved some plain to have with coffe. yum

Classic Butter Cookies II

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
My sister and i made these just yesterday for valentines day and they came out great! They are very easy to make. They do not spread so u can put a lot on one pan.the dough is easy to work with! They have a simple taste, like a butter cookie. They are very good. Absolutely perfect with the cookie icing on this site. The cookie was not super sweet, but with the icing (which hardens to stackability) it gives it the perfect level of sweetness. Thanks for this recipe!! Very yummy! I like them even w/o icing. You could have them plain w/ tea or something. the cookie comes out white, pretty for decorating!
