About this Cook
I am a pregnant Mom of a 2 year old. I am always looking for ways to make something healthier that also tastes good for my son because he is so picky! I love to draw/paint/create....even w/ food (especially desserts). My weekness is chocolate!
My favorite things to cook
cookies (easiest),pancakes, muffins, mostly dessert stuff, wutever looks interesting. sometimes I like a challenge, and experimentation. I've tried making things out of fruit up in neat ways...wutever
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas Potluck, and $th of July Barbeque pool party. I always do something cool and different every year and always get lots of compliments.I usually leave with an empty dish. Memorial Day. My whole fam usually goes to my Grandmas and has a cookout. yummy burgers and such.
My cooking triumphs
-4th of July Pool Party made a jello pie that came out just like the picture I'd seen online. Tasted delicious and was gone in about 20 min! (I ate 2 slices). -I made these swedish tea cookies or "snowballs" for a Christmas potluck and they were gone in the first 30 min.! -Made BBq Ribs for supper and they came out so tender! Fall apart in your mouth tender and juicy! I felt so proud!
My cooking tragedies
-For my son's first birthday I made the jello pie I had done so well on last came out horrible and looked like ! Didn't taste that bad, but wasn't tempting either. -Made a cake for a party and I totally messed up on the frosting. It looked like barf cake because I had put food coloring in too make a rainbow swirl effect...didn't work. -Made angel food cake cupcakes for a birthday party and burned most of the batch. They came out all sunken in the middle and were like eating little sponges, but they tasted good. Only saved about half a dozen.

Sweet Dinner Rolls
I made these rolls for thanksgiving and wow...They were gone so fast! I am glad I grabbed the 2 that I did, otherwise I wouldn't have had any. Deliscious, sweet, buttery...OMG. BEST DINNER ROLL I EVER MADE! I warmed the milk on the stove, melted 1/3c butter and the sugar in it and let sit till lukewarm. mixed into proofed yeast (in the 1/3c warm water and 1 T sugar) added flour a bit at a time, kneeded, let rise, and baked in 375 degree oven for 12 or so, till golden. I put put melted butter on after it was baked. YUM, I got a request to bring make them for our New Year's DAy Feast!

Quick Coffee Cake
I'm giving this recipe 5 stars because i think that it would have tasted just fine if I hadn't made the changes as other reviewers did. I added more milk, and mixed the melted butter w/ the topping and this came out too moist and the topping wasn't crumbly enough 4 me. If I just followed the original recipe it would have been great! W/ the changes this deserves 3 stars. I say: keep the recipe the way it is. It was a tad too heavy and sweet w/ changes. I have a sweet tooth and didn't care fot it. Next time I will make it the right way and I'm sure it will be scrumptious!

Oatmeal Whole Wheat Quick Bread
I agev this 3 stars because it came out quite bland. I added cinnamon too. My 2 yr. old likes it, which is great, but I think it's wutever. Nothing special. It would probably be pretty tasty with some banana or maybe pumpkin or rasisins, vanilla....wutever u like, but it does need something. It tastes ok with a jam on maybe. I will definately keep this recipe, but will make changes. If you like foods w/o lots of sweetness/flavor and don't mind bland foods then this is for you. IF YOU HAVE A SWEET TOOTH MOVE ON. Thanks for the recipe anyways!
