I got into cooking two years ago and it has become my favorite hobby. I cook for my husband, family, and friends and they love the dishes and treats I make.
My favorite things to cook
I usually cook Italian and Mexican and occasionally I bake desserts and appetizers. I try to make my most of my dinners low carb.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I learned a lot of cooking techniques from my mother, who is from Puerto Rico. She would cook very healthy meals, like Italian, American, and Mexican.
My cooking triumphs
My first great cooking experience was making chicken with tarragon cream for a small dinner party. I just made up a recipe for chicken vegetable stew, which was delicious.
My cooking tragedies
I used to not be that great at cooking so the chicken would not always be cooked, but I learned that I have to at least cook them 7 minutes on each side.

Chicken and Sausage with Bowties
I suggest draining the chicken and turkey sausage after it is lightly browned. Also, drain the canned tomatoes to prevent the sauce from getting watery. I added shredded Parmesan cheese, oregano, and red pepper flakes. I suggest adding the garlic after the meat is drained and using 2/3 cup of red wine.

Pasta Sauce with Italian Sausage
This recipe was great! My fiancee loved it. I used turkey sausage and added more tomato sauce.

Baked Penne with Italian Sausage
The pasta tasted bland. More sauce should be added as well as garlic and salt.
