T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Very good, very filling. One thing though, I would suggest making sure your cuts are pretty "meaty"... I shaped some of mine like wedges, and the thinner edges cooked faster than the thicker ones, and burned a bit.. other than that, i enjoyed them very much.

French Bread

Made it into 4 smaller loaves. Just how i love it, crunchy on the outside, soft and delicious on the inside. slap a little butter on it and you're in business.

Mediterranean Chicken and Orzo Salad In Red Pepper Cups

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2010
This was really, really good. I liked the dressing a lot. Didn't use red pepper cups, and added some fresh parsley from the garden. Thanks!

White Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
It went really well with Aini's Strawberry Cupcakes. I used about 150 grams of white Fazer baking chocolate, and a bit less than 100 grams of Creme Fraiche. To speed cooling, I floated the glass bowl with the hot chocolate in a pot of ice water and continued stirring until almost set. The creme fraiche/choc mixture was a bit lumpy at first, but after stirring turned a beautiful consistency, perfect for cakes or cupcakes. super, super sweet taste, but I guess that depends on your brand of chocolate.

Cheddar Puff Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
Great recipe! They didn't look much like biscuits for me, maybe more like high cookies. But delicious nonetheless. I used Gouda cheese, and the onion complemented it really well.

Russian Mushroom and Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2008
Very delicious soup. Maybe not the healthiest thing ever with the butter and cream, but really good. My girlfriend (born in russia) said it was close to a traditional soup, but the "real deal" is a bit more brown, probably because of the type of forest-picked mushrooms used (i used regular white mushrooms).

Restaurant-Style Coleslaw I

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
That was my first time making coleslaw, and it was really, really good! I shredded about 1/2 a head of cabbage and 1 carrot... turned out to be about 2 liters of slaw, which was perfect for the amount of dressing.

This pie is very hard to mess up... it reminds me of this amazing pie at a diner in northern michigan. My wife said it's the best pie she's ever had. 6 stars.

Soy Milk Pancakes

Reviewed: Mar. 14, 2009
This recipe is really good for those who don't eat milk products. I use half whole wheat flour and half white flour. My wife and I enjoyed them very much together with "Absolute best pancake syrup" by Ingrid. The recipe is exactly enough for a nice saturday morning breakfast for 2 (I used a tiny 5 inch crepe pan).

To Die For Blueberry Muffins

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This is a really great recipe (as I expected by the huge amount of positive reviews). However, I wouldn't suggest filling them to the brim of the cups. They went a little crazy on me and started pouring over the sides about 3/4 through cooking.

Honey Wheat Bread I

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This bread is amazing - the dough starts off a bit sticky before kneading but gets softer when more flour is incorporated. painted the top with a whisked whole egg with a splash of water.

Apple, Carrot, Or Zucchini Cake

Reviewed: Dec. 4, 2007
Used carrots, really great cake! I liked the texture. Had to leave it in 5-10 minutes longer to cook through (these tiny european stoves are very unpredictable). The outsides was nice and crisp/chewy with a lovely cakey interior. The cinnamon added a nice taste. Very solid recipe.
