Easy Shake and Bake Chicken

Reviewed: Oct. 19, 2008
This was really good.. never tried this before. Instead of flour we used cracker crumbs. Worked really nicely. outside was crunchy, inside juicy. we used boneless skinless chicken breasts and timing was about right, 40 min.

Apple Pie by Grandma Ople

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2008
Oh my wow this was really, really good. My wife said it was the best pie she's eaten in her life. I wholeheartedly agree :) I made it with JANELIM's "basic flaky pie crust"

Really good crust! I used it for "apple pie by Grandma Ople". I painted on a little egg wash and it turned out beautifully. uploaded a picture to show!

Apple Banana Cupcakes

mmm, these are really good. the texture is great and they look beautiful. for some reason even though the tops were perfect, the bottoms were a bit burnt, but I think that's my oven. great recipe!

Easiest Mushroom Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2008
really good.. i prepared it differently though. first fried the mushrooms, dumped them out of the pan, cooked the flour and butter together until it was combined, added the stock, stirred like crazy, then added the mushrooms again and heated for a few minutes. added quite a bit of salt and pepper as well. put it on top of wiener schnitzel and mashed potatoes and it was delicious!

Garlic Pasta with Prawns

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
Very delicious idea for a pasta... only change is I first fried up a bit of zucchini for a while, then threw in the shrimp and lots of garlic. the resultant sauce was really tasty. after boiling mini shell macaroni, i stirred it in the pan with the sauce.

Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
I frosted these with Cara's White Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting. I was a little disappointed that they fell a little when i took them from the oven, but that was probably my fault. They still looked really nice though, and the texture was wonderful. I prepared them as described by another reviewer and I didn't use the extract, but used almost .5 liters of strawberries. Still very moist 2 days later.

Cheddar Puff Biscuits

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2008
Great recipe! They didn't look much like biscuits for me, maybe more like high cookies. But delicious nonetheless. I used Gouda cheese, and the onion complemented it really well.

White Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

Reviewed: Jul. 5, 2008
It went really well with Aini's Strawberry Cupcakes. I used about 150 grams of white Fazer baking chocolate, and a bit less than 100 grams of Creme Fraiche. To speed cooling, I floated the glass bowl with the hot chocolate in a pot of ice water and continued stirring until almost set. The creme fraiche/choc mixture was a bit lumpy at first, but after stirring turned a beautiful consistency, perfect for cakes or cupcakes. super, super sweet taste, but I guess that depends on your brand of chocolate.

Chocolate Chip Bars

Not a novice "cookie chef", I followed this recipe to a T... turned out terrible. was wet in the middle, high and cakey on the edges. i cut out the edges, and the chocolate chip cake portion was really tasty.

Iced Pumpkin Cookies

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
I forgot to review these when i made them in November or so. These cookies were memorable though, very delicious smelling while cooking, and even more delicious tasting fresh out of the oven. I didn't think they held terribly great, but they were will good for a few days after.

Lemon Carrots and Rutabaga

Reviewed: May 14, 2008
Awefully tasty! The only thing I didn't have was lemon zest... but i DID have fresh dill. i think the fresh dill really made the dish. the combination with a little bit of sweetness from the sauce was great. Thanks for the recipe.

Cinnamon Rolls I

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2008
Pretty good recipe. They tasted very nice when warm and very visually appealing. If i made them again I would cut the slices a bit thicker, maybe an inch and a half tall, and make it more like a square instead of a rectangle.

T's Sweet Potato Fries

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2008
Very good, very filling. One thing though, I would suggest making sure your cuts are pretty "meaty"... I shaped some of mine like wedges, and the thinner edges cooked faster than the thicker ones, and burned a bit.. other than that, i enjoyed them very much.
