My Crab Cakes

I love crab cakes and this was my first time making them and it was a hit! I used fresh lump crab meat. It is easy to come by down here in Louisiana. Can crab meat just doesn't sound appetizing. Thank goodness I live here!!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

This was my first attempt to make a stroganoff and I loved it. My entire family loved it. This was so very easy to make too. It really didn't need to cook 5 hours on high. My meat was very tender after about 4 hours and I also tripled the recipe.

Old Fashioned Onion Rings

I made these last week and I was so proud of myself. This was my first time deep frying something and they turned out beautiful. The only thing I didn't have was the baking powder, but obviously that didn't matter. I served them with crab cake po-boys. Yummy!!

Lemon Whip Dessert

Big hit!!! So very easy. My mom always makes lemon icebox pie that tastes just like this, but without meringue and baking. I don't like meringue too much anyway, so this is the best alternative. Oh and it is very good with pomegranate seeds sprinkled on top. Thanks.

Louisiana Crawfish Etouffee

This was my first attempt to an make etouffee and it was delicious!! The only thing I added was about a teaspoon of liquid crab boil. That set the whole thing off. I made it last week and I am making it again tonight. This time I think I am gonna use a cup of butter instead of 3/4 and add some bellpepper from my garden. Thank you for the recipe!!
