About this Cook
Grew up in a home with 6 brothers. I learned how to cook from my mother and I love to teach myself new things. Now that I have 3 boys of my own, and a husband who can put away more than anyone I've ever known, cooking has become more than one of my responsibilities; it's a release and a joy!
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy trying new combinations of seasoning especially with everyday food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Giving homemade salsa (my family's secret recipe) as the Christmas treat to neighbors, family, and friends.
My cooking triumphs
Anything my kids will eat that is nutritious!
My cooking tragedies
I burn a lot!

Dump Cake III
I was looking to make a dessert that would satisfy my craving for sweet but only use ingredients I had on hand. This worked perfectly. I didn't have the frosting ingredients so I sprinkled it with powdered sugar- mmmmmm.... it was just right! I especially loved that it wasn't too sweet or rich. Thanks for sharing it!

Cheese Ball I
After my neighbor brought us a cheese ball for Thanksgiving that was AMAZING, I have not been able to find a recipe that even came close; until now. LOVED THIS!! Can't wait to make it over and over and over. Definitely worth having to put on my running shoes after!

Jamie's Cranberry Spinach Salad
This is a 5 star recipe for a reason. Everyone wanted the recipe- and I was the LAST to arrive at the potluck I took it to. I made all the dressing it called for but didn't use it all so the salad didn't get too soggy. This is a must-have for the recipe box!
