Peanut Butter Cornflake Crunch Bars

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2014
I substituted honey for corn syrup, doubled pb, honey and sugar. Used an entire 18oz box of cornflakes (I don't eat normally so they would go to waste). Turned out perfect! I too have eaten these my entire life, mom made them whenever we went camping.

Heavenly Angel Food Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2014
Made due to having lots of extra egg whites after all my Christmas baking. Super delicious!! My hubby who never eats cake had seconds!!! Thought I messed it up due to sifting granulated sugar with flour and powdered sugar and accidentally breaking a yolk in with the egg whites but turned out absolutely fantastic!!!

Pastry Cream

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2013
Absolutely perfect! I followed the directions and ingredients to a T and ended up with perfect custard that tastes fantastic! I did not boil the milk actually I let it get hot to the point where I thought if it got hotter it would burn. Then when I cooked the whole mixture again it only took a minute for it to come together and turn into a custard. I will use this recipe every time!

No Beans About It - Chili

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2012
Was great! I read some of the reviews and instead of 1/4 cup red whine vinegar I used 1/8 cup balsamic vinegar and 1/8 cup Worcestershire sauce. I also used 1.5 lb of ground beef to make it a bit more meaty. To add some crunch to the texture, I added 1/3 cup frozen corn. Probably the best chili my wife and I have had in a long time and so easy and quick to make. This will go right on our favorite recipe list. Can't wait to make it again although I still have two servings leftover in the fridge!!

Creme Brulee French Toast

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2012
This was fabulous!! I made as a snack for my work collueagues and they all asked for the recipe. I made a few changes turning it into a bread pudding, or as i called iit creme brûlée French toast casserole. I doubled the butter, sugar and syrup, then I cut 2 loaves (3x8inch) into small cubes, poured 3 cups of half and half mixed together with 8 eggs and vanilla. Put it in the fridge over night and baked in the morning. There was delightful bits of crunchy caramel bread on the bottom which went perfect with the creamy top layer.

Ciabatta Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
I read the top reviews about this bread and decided to make it even though it was said to be somewhat hard, yes the dough right out of the bread maker is a bit like cake dough, but the end product is really good. I worked in a baker as a cake maker right along side with bread bakers and they told me Ciabatta bread is one of the hardest to make. So thanks for the wonderful recipe which makes ciabatta bread easy. One helpful hint is to prevent it from sticking put a lot of flour on the board and baking sheet.
