Veal Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
This veal dish was excellent! When I added the white wine, I was worried because I didn't like the aroma, but as it simmered, it became heavenly! The meat was tender and melted in your mouth. I let it simmer an extra half hour than the recipe called for, and served it over noodles. This one will become a favorite at my house!

Simple Potato Salad

Just like my mom used to make. She passed before I could learn her recipe, but this one is as close as I've come to hers. Thanks!

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Finally! A rib roast the way it should be! Mine was only a 3.5 lb. roast (2 bones), but I followed the directions exactly, added nothing, altered nothing - and it was FANTASTIC! Better than restaurant prime rib! Now only if I could learn to carve it properly, LOL! We had a wonderful Easter dinner with asparagus, sweet potatoes and crescent rolls on the side! (Sweet potatoes perpared ahead of time; rolls prepared while the roast rested.) Thanks for a great recipe; my newest favorite!

Roasted Turkey Legs

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Delicious! I used sweet onions (like Vidalias) since I don't care for celery. The flavor permeated the meat well and gave it added tenderness. I'll be doing this one again. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
These chops gave me flashbacks - not to my mother's kitchen, but to my grandmother's! This is probably the best recipe I've tried from this site! I sent some to my dad, and he fell all over himself raving about them! My daughter - who DOESN'T LIKE PORK - thought they were awesome! Fall apart, melt in your mouth delicious! Thank you, bdld, for submitting this one! I'll be looking for more of yours! Can I give more than 5 stars? A++++++++++!!

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Awesome! I seasoned the tenderloin with salt and pepper and dotted it with buttter instead of melted butter (to save time; it was a weeknight), then added the soy sauce. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious!! This one's a winner! Thanks!

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
This was fantastic! I used chunks of grilled chicken instead of beef and I think it's even better that way! If I could give this more than just 5 stars, I would! Great recipe!

Ham and Bean Soup II

I made this and used my co-workers as guinea pigs. It disappeared! Absolutely fantastic. I did soak the beans longer than overnight - about 16 hours - and it was perfect! 5 STARS!

I made this and used my co-workers as guinea pigs. Yes, they'll eat anything, but this was soooo good, they were bowing to me! Thanks for a great recipe! I'll be making it again and again! 5 STARS!

Turkey Broccoli Hollandaise

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was fantastic! Easy to make, and very flavorful. After my first serving, I thought "Wouldn't gravy go well over this?", so I went back to the kitchen and made some. Poured it over the casserole and actually improved upon perfection! Thanks for a great recipe! It's a keeper at our house!

Baked Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I used the suggestion of seasoned bread crumbs and using half soy/half worcestshire sauces. This was fabulous! Tender, tender, tender, and flavorful! Will marinate the chops in the sauce for a bit the next time I make them. This will be a regular at our house!

Asian Style Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Excellent! I also took the advice of previous reviewers and adjusted the measurements of the final hoisin sauce and ketchup. My father and I have an ongoing competition for the best meatloaf, which I've never won, but I think I've got him on this one! And I don't think he'll mind! Thanks!

Excellent recipe! You can use whatever kind of sauce you wish, or none at all! I'm going to try this with sweet & sour or hoisin sauce, with gravy, even cranberry sauce! Lots of pulled pork in our future! Thanks!

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
Awesome recipe! I used apple juice instead of water as another reviewer did. I'll never use just water again! The next day left-over corned beef, I boiled again for an hour in apple juice and added fresh cabbage. Even better!!!
