Ham and Bean Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I made this and used my co-workers as guinea pigs. It disappeared! Absolutely fantastic. I did soak the beans longer than overnight - about 16 hours - and it was perfect! 5 STARS!

Chocolate Chip Banana Bread I

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2009
I made this and used my co-workers as guinea pigs. Yes, they'll eat anything, but this was soooo good, they were bowing to me! Thanks for a great recipe! I'll be making it again and again! 5 STARS!

Cocktail Meatballs IV

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2009
Though I've had these many times, this was the first time I made them myself. I doubled the recipe and took them to a football party and they disappeared! Amazingly delicious, and so easy to make! I used frozen meatballs and extra jelly and chili sauce, so there was enough sauce to sop up with bread after the meatballs were gone! Awesome!

Pizza Casserole

Easy and delicious! My family doesn't like pepperoni, so I left it out. Next time, I'll add mushrooms! This one's a keeper!

I have made this several times with no changes except a little extra parmesan cheese. We LOVE it! It's fast, easy, convenient, and oh-so-delicious! A great treat during a busy work week! A+++++!

Bev's Orange Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
Very tasty, easy and convenient! I made this the night before according to the instructions (except I substituted minced garlic for the garlic powder), then re-heated it at 350 for an hour when I got home from work the next day. It was so nice to be able to kick back and rest for that time after working a long day, instead of jumping into the kitchen when I least felt like it. Thanks! This one's a keeper!

Turkey Broccoli Hollandaise

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2008
This was fantastic! Easy to make, and very flavorful. After my first serving, I thought "Wouldn't gravy go well over this?", so I went back to the kitchen and made some. Poured it over the casserole and actually improved upon perfection! Thanks for a great recipe! It's a keeper at our house!

Baked Lamb Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
I used the suggestion of seasoned bread crumbs and using half soy/half worcestshire sauces. This was fabulous! Tender, tender, tender, and flavorful! Will marinate the chops in the sauce for a bit the next time I make them. This will be a regular at our house!

Asian Style Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2007
Excellent! I also took the advice of previous reviewers and adjusted the measurements of the final hoisin sauce and ketchup. My father and I have an ongoing competition for the best meatloaf, which I've never won, but I think I've got him on this one! And I don't think he'll mind! Thanks!

Cabbage Roll Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2007
I read the reviews for this dish and made a few changes of my own. I halved the recipe, used a 14-oz. can of diced tomatoes with a small can of tomato sauce, and baked it for two hours. After tasting it, I still thought it needed something more, so I added 2-3 TBs of honey BBQ sauce. It was better than I'd expected as I assembled it, and we ate it as a meal. But my daughter had a couple of suggestions that I thought were awesome: This would make a great new dip for tortilla chips! Or even more unexpectedly, how about a Polish taco, using a flour or corn tortilla and cheesy toppings?! Before you go, "Ewww!", try the original recipe, then make a judgement. It works!

Corned Beef and Cabbage II

Reviewed: Mar. 13, 2007
Awesome recipe! I used apple juice instead of water as another reviewer did. I'll never use just water again! The next day left-over corned beef, I boiled again for an hour in apple juice and added fresh cabbage. Even better!!!

Veal Stew

Reviewed: Feb. 1, 2007
This veal dish was excellent! When I added the white wine, I was worried because I didn't like the aroma, but as it simmered, it became heavenly! The meat was tender and melted in your mouth. I let it simmer an extra half hour than the recipe called for, and served it over noodles. This one will become a favorite at my house!
