Basic Crepes

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2014
I LOVE CREPES but have never had the courage to try to make them myself. Now having made my first attempt, and finding them delicious, I'm now ready to add embellishments like fruit. Thanks for this awesome recipe! I faced my fear and vanquished it! YUM!

Stuffed Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2013
Very tasty and I will make this again. But the chops were not tender and the stuffing mix suggested by other reviewers was too crunchy for me. Next time, I'll probably use two cans of soup, add a little more water, and cook longer at a lower temperature.

Cabbage and Smoked Sausage Soup

Reviewed: May 13, 2013
I had never had this before until my dad requested it for Sunday dinner (he was ill and I'd bring him Sunday dinner every week). He passed away before the next Sunday arrived, on 4/9/13. I made it anyway in his memory, and it was absolutely delicious! In a way, he left his mark by asking for that dinner because I'll think of him now and smile every time I make it. Thanks, Ludy!

Guinness® Corned Beef

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2012
My entire family are corned beef fanatics, but found this one just okay. We don't drink beer and the Guinness was just too overpowering. I was looking for a way other than boiling to make corned beef and found two other recipes that we may like. This one, however, will be removed from my recipe box.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

Reviewed: Sep. 28, 2012
Excellent recipe! You can use whatever kind of sauce you wish, or none at all! I'm going to try this with sweet & sour or hoisin sauce, with gravy, even cranberry sauce! Lots of pulled pork in our future! Thanks!

Ham Potato Scallop

Reviewed: Jun. 4, 2012
Very tasty, but I thought it could use more cheese. I added lots of cheese on top during the final minutes, but next time I'll add some cheese to the ingredients going into the stove for the first 35 minutes. And I agree with the person who said a bigger baking dish was called for.

Escargot Mushrooms

Reviewed: May 9, 2012
I haven't had escargot for years. I loved them then...and I still love them now! I used the canned snails and they were yummy!! Next time, I'll try to find fresh ones. Don't be put off by the the animal; they're as clean and as delicious as shrimp. Thanks for the recipe!

Beef Taco Skillet

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2011
This was fantastic! I used chunks of grilled chicken instead of beef and I think it's even better that way! If I could give this more than just 5 stars, I would! Great recipe!

5 stars for the original recipe! Awesome! I tried it again with beer, but could only give that one 4 stars. I'll stick to the basics. Loved it!

Just like my mom used to make. She passed before I could learn her recipe, but this one is as close as I've come to hers. Thanks!

Foolproof Rib Roast

Reviewed: Apr. 4, 2010
Finally! A rib roast the way it should be! Mine was only a 3.5 lb. roast (2 bones), but I followed the directions exactly, added nothing, altered nothing - and it was FANTASTIC! Better than restaurant prime rib! Now only if I could learn to carve it properly, LOL! We had a wonderful Easter dinner with asparagus, sweet potatoes and crescent rolls on the side! (Sweet potatoes perpared ahead of time; rolls prepared while the roast rested.) Thanks for a great recipe; my newest favorite!

Roasted Turkey Legs

Reviewed: Feb. 26, 2010
Delicious! I used sweet onions (like Vidalias) since I don't care for celery. The flavor permeated the meat well and gave it added tenderness. I'll be doing this one again. Thanks for a great recipe!

Baked Pork Chops I

Reviewed: Jan. 29, 2010
These chops gave me flashbacks - not to my mother's kitchen, but to my grandmother's! This is probably the best recipe I've tried from this site! I sent some to my dad, and he fell all over himself raving about them! My daughter - who DOESN'T LIKE PORK - thought they were awesome! Fall apart, melt in your mouth delicious! Thank you, bdld, for submitting this one! I'll be looking for more of yours! Can I give more than 5 stars? A++++++++++!!

Fabulous Beef Tenderloin

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2009
Awesome! I seasoned the tenderloin with salt and pepper and dotted it with buttter instead of melted butter (to save time; it was a weeknight), then added the soy sauce. Melt-in-your-mouth delicious!! This one's a winner! Thanks!

Delicious! I'd never heard of quince, and they were a little hard to find, but now that I've tasted them, I'll be using them again! Great recipe for lamb-lovers. Thanks!
