Taco Soup II

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
Long time favorite of mine; I make it every year when it starts to get a nip in the air. It's also similar to a recipe shared at a weight loss meeting - full of good fiber! Enjoy. :-)

Cinnamon Coffee Cake II

A GREAT hit with my husband's family (here for a reunion)! They are asking for the recipe. I also cut the oil in half - definitely moist enough! Thanks!

Get a Husband Brunswick Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
Okay. So I already have a husband, but the name and the ingredients were intriguing. My brother lived and worked for Brunswick Country in Virginia, so I have the "orginal" recipe, however I thought I would give this a whirl. Well, my husband loved it! It should be called "keep a husband" Brunswick Stew! The sweet flavor had to grow on me, but the amount of meat in the dish was tremendous. It is a definite keeper. Thanks!

Parmesan Spinach Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
I was informed of these from my sister. These were great at our New Year's Eve party! Everyone loved them and I can't keep up with the requests for the recipe. Definitely use less bread crumbs (I only used 1 cup) and for a different twist, I added crumbled bacon (men cannot turn away anything with bacon!)about 1/2 cup. They were the first things to go. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

Blue Cheese and Pear Tartlets

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2004
This was a great hit at a party I took them to. The key to greater success is to keep the tartlets warm. I did not have a warming plate. Also, I may try a granny smith apple because I felt the pear was not tart enough to offset the blue cheese. I will definitely make it again. Thanks!

Slow Cooker Kielbasa Stew

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2004
This stew went like wild fire one very cold day, just before Christmas while vacationing at a ski resort. 14 Adults and 6 Children polished it off in less than an hour, and left me with nothing but the crock pot to bring home (and of course a mental note to make this a regular). Great recipe!

Best Formula Three-Cheese Fondue

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2003
Outstanding! Having received a new fondue pot for Christmas, I gave your recipe a whirl. The key to this recipe is to blend the flour and butter and wine first, unlike similar recipes. I also added about a teaspoon of ground nutmeg to round it out. It was a huge hit with our friends for a New Years Eve dinner. Consider this one a keeper!
