About this Cook
I'm a homemaker, it's my job to be good in the kitchen.
My favorite things to cook
I'm more of a baker, to be honest. But I also like to cook things that take all day. Like chicken stew from homemade stock and fresh bread.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sisters and I spent a lot of time helping my mom bake cookies when I was growing up. Now my 3 year old and 1 year old help me, as best as they can. It's a neat little heritage.
My cooking triumphs
Getting my husband to eat (and enjoy) chicken and onions. He thought he didn't like them :)
My cooking tragedies
When I fist started cooking I didn't realize that there was a difference between fresh and dried herbs. I added 2 cups of dried basil to a pasta dish for two. We ended up eating Kraft dinner.

No Sugar Raisin Cookies
These were really good for having no sugar in them. My kids loved them! I only rated in 3 stars however because there are some changes i made, and some additional changes I would make. I reduced the raisins to 1c, and added a whole cup of finely chopped apples. I also added about 2tsp of cinnamon. Next time I make these, and it will be soon, I am adding dried cranberries along with the raisins and also replacing the water with unsweetened apple juice.
