Mama's Italian Wedding Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2009
Wonderful recipe. I doubled the meatball ingredients and froze half for next time I make this soup.I had a roasted chicken left over from a previous meal so I steamed it and removed the meat and used the broth for part of the soup base. I used shells for the pasta. Yummy!

Crumb-Coated Chicken Thighs

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
This recipe is wonderful I cooked the chicken on foil lined cookie sheet sprayed with non-stick spray. I did not feel the need to turn them over. I did substitute the curry with hot curry spice. I served this with Basmati rice seasoned with tandoori spice and raisins. My husband and I loved it. I am going to premix the spices to have on hand whenever I want to spice things up. To Kara who submitted it, Thank You!

Maria's Pepper Steak

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I planned on making this recipe and discovered I did not have any steak in the freezer so I substituted 1 1/2 lbs. large raw shrimp. I cooked the shrimp in the honey, soy sauce and red wine vinegar mixture until they were pink. Removed the shrimp from the pan and added them to the already cooked veggies. I then stirred in a mixture of 1 tbls. corn starch and 1 Tbls. water into the honey, soy sauce and red wine vinegar mixture into the brought it back to a quick boil, then poured it over the shrimp and veggies. Served over the cooked white rice. It was huge hit. My husband and I loved it. He said he thought the sauce was perfect match for the shrimp.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

I really loved this recipe. I took the advice of other reviewers and increased the vanilla to 2 tbls. and added 1/2 tsp. salt. The other change I made was I replaced a 1/2 cup of the butter with Crisco. After the first tester batch I lowered the oven to 325 degrees and set the cooking time for 11 minutes. My husband loves the flavor and texture as do I .

Great recipe. My family loved it. Next time I make it I am going to eliminate the white sugar from the recipe it was a little to sweet.
