Greasy Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This was a quick and easy dinner. I did not find it to be real greasy. I removed the chicken skin prior to cooking. I also did not have anything burn in the pan, the soy sauce and garlic cooked perfectly. I suggest cooking over medium heat to avoid burning the sauce or garlic.

Greek Penne and Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2007
This dish was amazing. I had to substitute baby peas for the artichoke and capers that I wanted to use (didn't have any in the house). I seasoned the chicken prior to cooking with garlic salt and paprika. I added 1 extra clove of garlic as well. At the end I added some parmesean cheese and about 1 tablespoon of italian dressing, and a pinch of garlic salt (instead of regular salt). YUM

Chicken Jambalaya

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2007
This dish was amazing. I ncreased the recipe to make 6 servings. I cooked my chicken breast before hand in olive oil with 2 cloves of garlic and the chicken was seasoned with garlic salt, paprika, and cajun seasoning. I upped the rice to 1 cup and broth to 1 and 1/3, and all the meats to 1 pound. Very tasty, I served it with texas toast on the side.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
We did not like this recipe at all. I followed the recipe exactly and to us it was very bland. I even seasoned the chicken directly prior to pouring in the sauce and still no taste. The chicken was very soft and moist, but didn't really taste like anything. I won't try this recipe again.

Chicken with Ginger Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2007
This was a good dish. I didn't have pea pods or broccoli, so I substituted half of a red bell pepper and half of a green one. I used left over chicken from a whole chicken cooked the night before and it was good. Could have used a little more ginger.

Chicken Alfredo with Fettuccini Noodles

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This was very good. I will cut down on the ricotta next time, 32oz is a bit much. I will also add some garlic salt to the sauce instead of regular salt to add more flavor.

Pork Chops and Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2007
This dish was amazing. One bite and my husband wanted to know when am I going to make it again. I seasoned my pork chops with adobo and garlic salt prior to browning them. I also doubled the sauce and I microwaved the potatoe slices to soften them up before baking. I poured half of the sauce over the potatoes and the other half over the pork chops once in the pan.

I would give this 10 stars if I could. It replaced my Ronzoni recipe with one bite. My husband loved it.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This was a great recipe. My husband made sure I saved for future use lol. I used 3 chicken quarters skinned and cut in half, I sprinkled some onion powder and adobo for taste. I also used terriyaki instead of soy (didn't have any in the house). After it was cooked (baked on 375 as suggested by other reviews) I poured the the garlic and butter mixture into a pot with a small can of tomatoe sauce to make a nice gravy for the yellow rice I made with it. It was a great dish and I will definitly make it again.

Orzo and Potato Parmesan

Reviewed: Mar. 31, 2008
This dish was ok. The flavor was good and my husband liked it, but my 6 year old didn't like it to much. It could have used a little something else.

Aunt Carol's Spinach and Fish Bake

This was a great dish, but not good for left overs. It dried out rather quickly after removing from the oven. It was very tastey and great for a 1 dish meal.

Artichoke Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This dish was amazing. I cannot beleive what a little bit of mayo can do. I seasoned my chicken with garlic salt and onion poweder and let it sit in the olive oil that I greased the pan with. After spreading the mixture across the top I sprinkled some italian seasoned bread crumbs and paprika, it was delicious.

Sofrito

I loved how this came out, so much better than store bought. I think I will eliminate some of the tomatoe next time as it was a bit watery.

Cuban Ropa Vieja

Reviewed: Aug. 12, 2008
This dish was great. It came almost exactly like the restaurant version. Instead of cilantro I used 2 tablespoons of fresh sofrito. I also marinated the meat over night seasoned with some adobo, garlic powder, onion powder, and red wine vinegar. My daughter who is every picky loved it and had it for lunch dinner again the next day!

This was yummy. I added a few mushrooms and some sea salt and it was great. I served it with broiled fish, my husband can't wait for asparagus to be on sale again.
