Mandarin Beef Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Feb. 23, 2007
I made a few changes to this recipe...added garlic, onion broccoli, celery, and red pepper for colour. I also threw in a dash of curry powder and a sprinkle of chili flakes for some kick that I thought it needed. I used basmati rice with a bit rice wine vinegar added to it which I let heat in the oven at @350 degrees while I simmered the sauce piping hot. The dish ended up being one of the best meals I've ever had! The curry give it wonderful flavour. I would definitely try this recipe again using the mentioned modifications and some lamb instead. Thanks for a great recipe!

Wow! This recipe is full of flavour. I added baby shrimp to the dish, a bit of rice vinegar and cilantro. Fabulous! Thanks for a great recipe.

Canadian Barn BBQ Sauce

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
I thought this recipe was great as long as you reduce the amount of sugar as others suggested. I used only one cup and may even try using only 2/3 cup next time. My husband loved the ribs. Thanks for a great recipe!

Seven Layer Taco Dip

Reviewed: Feb. 20, 2007
I thought this recipe was fabulous! I did make a few adjustments: added 2 chopped jalepenos, 1 chopped avacado, zest of 1 lime, doubled the cream cheese, and used a blend of grated cheeses. I also omitted the beans as my husband will not enter the same room with them. Thanks for a great recipe!

Hot Fudge Ice Cream Bar Dessert

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2007
This recipe was a hit at my dinner party! Everyone loved it! I ended up using 24 ice cream sandwiches instead of the 19 the recipe called for. I took some suggestions from other reviews and used fudge sauce and instead of chocolate sauce and reduced the viscosity with a bit of milk. I also used Reese PB cubs instead of the whole peanuts as one of the reviews suggested, although, I think that the peanuts would have added great texture to the dish. I also used real whipped cream instead of frozen. This recipe is so easy and versatile. You can pretty much put any spin on it and it will taste great. Thank you for posting this recipe! I am sure to make it again.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This recipe was fabulous! And easy too. I did modify the cooking time to 30 minutes at 350 degrees as other reviews suggested, and coated the chicken with a mixture of balsamic vinegar, champagne vinegar and oil rather than butter prior to coating it with a combination of bread crumbs and crushed cornflakes. And last, I used Italian seasoning and garlic for flavour. I did not care for the sauce recipe.
