Mom's Pumpkin Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 13, 2007
Doubled the recipe..thinking Id get three pies..ended up with 4. Which was a very good thing..they were basically inhaled. I used real pumpkin puree and followed others' advice as to draining overnight. The pies were very light and velvety. A must next year!

Jamie's Minestrone

Reviewed: May 6, 2007
Great Recipe! The only thing Id change is the amount of basil and oregano, Id say to add to taste because for me it was way too much. Oh and I dont think the preliminary sauteeing is necessary..so Id skip that and omit the oil. Otherwise the soup was wonderful!

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2007
This was my first time making sphaghetti sauce and it came out very good. I did add some extra spices (garlic, pepper, red pepper flakes, salt)and 1 bell pepper, 1 pkg of fresh baby bella mushrooms and 1 cube of beef bullion during the process. (oh and some Vegeta..but thats the European in me) I also used 2 (6oz) cans of tomato paste instead of one (someone else recommended that on here). I topped the pasta/sauce with garlicky shrimp. Next time I think Ill add some oregano, red wine and extra garlic. It is a very tasty sauce, and if I ate meat, Id probably try the meatballs too!
