My favorite things to cook
My single most favorite thing to make is chocolate chip cookies. I used to make them almost everyday after high school for me and my brothers. I never used to feel like I was that great at anything but when my brutally honest brothers told me that "these are the best chocolate chip cookies ever" I believed them, it was an ego boost that tasted great.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Pumpkin pie. it's easy and quick to prepare and we only had it at holidays.
My cooking triumphs
Chocolate Babkah. It took me like six hours to make it. It was such a complex recipe. But everyone loved it. It wasn't too sweet, it was nice and light.
My cooking tragedies
Re-inventing leftovers. One nights spaghetti and meat sauce is the next night's chilli. Just add chilli powder and beans to the sauce, takes two minutes.

Cream Cheese Frosting II
I had to majorly "doctor" this as it was way too cream cheesey for me. I added 3 times the amount of butter, sugar and vanilla. But it was amazingly light, like a mousse and delicious.

Vegan Chocolate Cake
Perfect! I am not a vegan and these do not taste vegan. I added a little extra: cocoa, baking soda and vinegar (as suggested as others) also added chocolate chips for an extra yum factor. I made vegan because I was worried because my daughter loves the batter and it's not safe to eat raw eggs. This recipe was perfect in all it's forms, I even ate the batter.

Best Ever Muffins
I made this recipe twice first time they were great, I made a half batch and they were gone in hours. The second time I made a full batch, I added a little bit too much milk (I think) and they were doughy. The next day they were hard. I might give it another try as one of the best qualities these had were they were so easy to make, really fast.
