Golden Pork Chops

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2011
This is one of my favorite meals. I always make it with rice and some vegtable on the side like green beans. The only difference is I put it all in a skillet and let it simmer for a hour or so. Usually I brown the meat first with a flour bread crumb mixture also just to get that yummy crust.

Onion & Garlic Biscuit Flat Bread

Reviewed: Oct. 1, 2011
I wish I could have made these as written but with the lack of having all the ingiendants I was unable to, but this recipe did inspire me to use similar ingriendants to make a wonderful tasting Biscuit which is what I wanted instead of making pain ones. I used the Mayo, used cheddar instead of Parmasian, then used onion powder, garlic powder and a dash of italian seasoning. They were so so good. I paired them with a vegetable bean stew.

Steak and Mushroom Florentine

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2011
This was very good. I would say it is not something I would serve to company but if I am tried of the same old same old I would definatly make it again...The reason I found the recipe is I needed to use up some steak and some spinach and this recipe did the trick and was tasty...the only changes was I subed Rice for the tomatoes, threw in alittle yellow pepper i needed to use up and I added alittle white wine. I didnt measure anything just scaled everything as I was making it for one. also...I think this only took me like 15 min to make...max

Stabilized Whipped Cream Icing

Reviewed: Aug. 9, 2011
This was pretty good. I did not heat the gelatin but rather just put it in the cold water and then added it to the mix. I used 2 t gelatin 1/4 cup confecitonars sugar and 2 t vanilla extract. I will probally add more vanilla next time. it was just like frosting though and still tasted good. I might also next time go with one of the half cream cheese half whipped cream frostings.

Peach Tea

Reviewed: Aug. 6, 2011
This is very very Good! I used one Peach and one nectarine since that is what I had. I blended the peach with water for about 3 min to make sure that it was blended complutely with no chunks or anything. I also dont like to boil water for tea, as I think that it just burns the tea and makes it bitter, so I just use my tap water at its hottest point. I make 3 quarts of tea with 2 peaches. and I use 1/4 cup of sugar and it is plenty sweet for my family. Remember that when you put sugar on fruit it brings out the fruits sweetness so when you add sugar it will get even sweeter as it sits, Becuase it is bringing out the sweetness of the peaches.

Old Bay® Shrimp Fest

Reviewed: Jul. 27, 2011
Well I did everything recipe said except adjusting the cook times. I did not find this recipe very flavorful....it was spicy but lack of flavor if that makes any sence. although I have tried to make other dishes with old bay seasoning and felt the same way about those...so maybe I just dont like old bay. Maybe adding chicken stock, or a seafood stock instead of water would make it better.

Absolutely Fabulous Portobello Mushroom Tortellini

Reviewed: Jul. 25, 2011
This was wonderful! Make sure that you do NOT use a jar sauce but make your own. making your own is just to simple and I do beleive all jar sauces taste like dog gravy. I did add chicken, if i were to make this again and add chicken i would make sure that the chicken was in small peices and not large ones although this recipe is good without the meat. I bought my mushrooms presliced so I didnt have to do anything to them but wash. If you want a all in one pot meal excluding the noodles. after the mushrooms are ready add half a package of creamcheese when that has melted in add about 3/4 cup of milk (or till right consistancy) when that has heated thru add 1/2 to 3/4 package of parmasian. becuase the recipe already called for garlic you do not need to add more and you have your alfredo sauce without needing to make it in a different pan. If you want more sauce simply add more creamcheese and more milk. salt and pepper to taste. I also had left over sauce with no noodles and put the sauce over bow-tie noodles the next day...and it was just as good if not better heated up the second day. ALSO Please do not give this recipe a bad review if you used jar sauce or your alfredo sucked as the recipe does not say use a jar sauce. For then you would be rating the recipe on your failer to provide a good alfredo.
