Cream Cheese Jalapeno Hamburgers

We have made these multiple times and always come back to this recipe when we make burgers. I use one jalopeno, a pound a burger and about 1/4 cream cheese block. I melt the cream cheese in the microwave to get it plyable. I season my burger with lawrys seasoning salt and balck pepper. then I make very very thing pattys then i spoon some mixture in the middle and put another thin patty on top and bind the edges. I do like them with a slice of swiss or cheddar on top but it is fine without it. I have made these on the Forman, the grill and in a frying pan they have never turned out bad. although the forman and the grill are much easier. also those little 1 lb meat logs that you can buy those work the best since they are so sticky to begin with.

Slow Cooker Sweet and Sour Kielbasa

I did everything to recipe except i halved the sauce and kept the sausage amont the same and cooked the sausage with the onions. We ended up realizing it tasted better after simmering for 20 min rather than after being in the crock pot for 5 hours. Wish we would have ate it for lunch rather than dinner. But still even then, I would probally not make it again, it was just ok to our taste buds.

Chicken Mexicala

I cooked my chicken with the onions and the green chiles. I added some taco seasonings such as Cumin while cooking the chicken. I didnt have evapoated milk so subbed it for powdered milk with only 40% of the water added to it. (since evaporated milk is milk with 60% of the water evaporated) Other than that, I layered in it a round casserole dish and it turned out great. Oh, and I did half corn half flour tortilla since I am a corn fan and my husband is a flour fan but we coudnt tell the difference in the end. i had them ripped up in bite size pieces. Next time I might try adding another can of green chiles or adding green enchilada sauce. I made homemade quacamole with black beans and corn as a side dish. I am eating leftovers right now and it still tastes great.

These were pretty good, although alittle bit to dry. I made the recipe as written and used Chocolate Chips as my add in. I think next time I will use maybe only a cup of oats.

Broccoli Crawfish Cheese Soup

I used Shrimp, Scallops, and a White Fish as my seafood and since I scaled it down I used a cream of Broccoli soup. This was so good. Definatly will be making it again.

Moong Dal with Spinach

This was very good and my first time ever eating lentils. I added some diced tomato, onion, and garlic. We ate it over rice. My husband brought out some Ritz crackers and it was really really good on crackers. Might be something I even make for a appitizer.

Ann's Dirty Rice

This was a good simple meal and I needed to use up a bunch of peppers. I used Yellow pepper along with the green and red. I Only gave it four stars becuase I made it as written and I think It would have been much better if I made the rice seperate and then added it to the cooked meat and peppers. I think it lost alot of its natural flavor and made it too soupy to do it all in one dish.

Golden Pork Chops

This is one of my favorite meals. I always make it with rice and some vegtable on the side like green beans. The only difference is I put it all in a skillet and let it simmer for a hour or so. Usually I brown the meat first with a flour bread crumb mixture also just to get that yummy crust.

Sweet Bacon Dogs

when I want a quick lunch but dont want just hotdogs i made these...although I just put them in the microwave for like two minutes. wrap bacon around hotdogs....pour some brown sugar on top and then put in microwave till bacon is cooked to your liking

Onion & Garlic Biscuit Flat Bread

I wish I could have made these as written but with the lack of having all the ingiendants I was unable to, but this recipe did inspire me to use similar ingriendants to make a wonderful tasting Biscuit which is what I wanted instead of making pain ones. I used the Mayo, used cheddar instead of Parmasian, then used onion powder, garlic powder and a dash of italian seasoning. They were so so good. I paired them with a vegetable bean stew.

Steak and Mushroom Florentine

This was very good. I would say it is not something I would serve to company but if I am tried of the same old same old I would definatly make it again...The reason I found the recipe is I needed to use up some steak and some spinach and this recipe did the trick and was tasty...the only changes was I subed Rice for the tomatoes, threw in alittle yellow pepper i needed to use up and I added alittle white wine. I didnt measure anything just scaled everything as I was making it for one. also...I think this only took me like 15 min to make...max

Stabilized Whipped Cream Icing

This was pretty good. I did not heat the gelatin but rather just put it in the cold water and then added it to the mix. I used 2 t gelatin 1/4 cup confecitonars sugar and 2 t vanilla extract. I will probally add more vanilla next time. it was just like frosting though and still tasted good. I might also next time go with one of the half cream cheese half whipped cream frostings.
