Thanks so much for the recipe. My husband is Moroccan and loved it. It felt it had a truly authentic taste, but was missing salt in STEP 1. I was adding so many ingredients, it didn't even hit me until he said it was saltless. Easy fix- we just added at the table. I didn't add the lemon, since I thought that would make it taste funny...other than that. This is an excellent way for an American woman like myself to give my husband some good ole' home cooking!

Basboosa II

Delicious, my only recommendations are to add a whole lemon's juice to the syrup part and before you pour on the syrup....poke some holes in the cake so that the syrup can reach the bottom layer. I couldn't figure out why mine was absorbing all of the syrup- I'll know for next time.

Monterey Chicken with Potatoes

Reviewed: Feb. 11, 2007
My husband absolutely LOVED this receipe! My one year old did too! I highly recommend this easy, fast prepared dish to all that wish to add some flavor to their dinner tables. This one packs a nice punch! Only suggestion: is I added some salt and pepper to both the chicken and potatos..plus I cut back on the butter on the chicken.

Fantastic! My one year old loved it, and so did we! What a great new take on the traditional P & J. You can even switch this up by using different flavored jellies and jams. Thanks so much for this quick and easy lunch idea!

Orange Juice Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2008
Made this cake yesterday when looking for a bundt cake. Like others I added an extra pack of vanilla pudding to the mix, and some orange peel. To make the cake turn orange I also added a pack of orange jello mix to the dry ingredients. Cake turned out really nice, but needed to be baked for at least 45-50 minutes....not 30. Overall a success and a keeper to my recipe box. Thanks!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Delicious. Like others I used beef broth instead of water. I browned the meat with steak seasoning, carmelized onions, salt & pepper. Added some potatoes, carrots and celery 3 hrs. before finish time. A total keeper.....we all loved it.

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2008
I will give it four stars since I believe it a basic starter recipe for a great dish. Like others I added some seasoning to the chicken (montreal chicken seasoning, salt & pepper). I replaced one of the cans of cream of chicken soup with a can of cream of celery. I also added chopped up carrots, celery, and one can of chicken broth. When I added the biscuit dough I also added a can of drained can corn. This meal was delicious. I will definitely make it again.

Added to my file of favorite chicken recipes. I make the chicken as directed and also grill up some red & green peppers and a red onion to serve fajita style. Make some extra sauce to enhance this one!
