Yellow Squash Dressing

Reviewed: Sep. 26, 2007
This recipe is absolutely heavenly. The only alteration I make is I add 1 to 2 teaspoons of garlic powder to it and usually bake for about 40 minutes to get a slightly browner appearance. My wife works for a home for the physically and mentally challenged, and the clients demand that I fix this for them once a week to serve as a side with their supper, they enjoy it so much.

Easy Garlic Broiled Chicken

Reviewed: May 19, 2010
I fixed this as one recommended baking it 45 minutes instead of broiling but this was absolutely delicious, and would have been probably either way. Thank you so much for a wonderful main course, will be using this recipe regularly.

Reviewed: Oct. 5, 2012
I made this yesterday for our supper. the wife, Liz came home and when I told her that I had 'bathed' thechops in mustard she said eeew.. but after eatting supper she told me to be sure and keep this recipe, we both loved it with no changes other than not measuring the amount of mustard just making sure they were coated on botth sides. We will definitely be using this one again. Thanx for a good and easy one.

Favorite Corn Bread

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2007
This cornbread is absolutely fabulous. We cooked it for 32 minutes instead of the recommended 20 to 25 minutes, since using a cast iron pan instead of square pan. Repeat absolutely delicious. This recipe will be made in our household for years to come.

Chicken and Stuffing Casserole

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2008
We are having this again this evening for supper, great recipe. We tried it as written the first time and ever since have added seasonings and other ingredients per our taste. We now make our own homemade dressing to put in it, however still top the dish with the soup and broth mixture. We use this recipe at least once a month and works out just great for the two of us.

Hamburger Steak with Onions and Gravy

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2010
Excellent recipe, we had no sherry, so added a can of cream of mushroom soup and a can of cream of celery, absolutelely delicious. Second time around we used ground venison and a couple of sausage patties added to it, fantastic, thanx for sharing this recipe, it will be a staple in our house.

Chicken-Fried Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2010
Wow, did I mess up. First I bought the economical pack of chops, you know with all the bones and fat streaks, then I failed to notice that it was a slow cooker meal, so at 4 I was trying to get a meal together for 6. It worked out fabulous, just cooked in regular oven to hurry up. Trimmed out bones and fat, doubled the garlic powder, breaded as recommended and browned, transferred to a 9 x 13 pan with minced fresh onion, can of cream of chicken, cream of mushroom and half can of chicken broth instead of 1/3 cup water mixed together. Cut the salt in half, just for safety, rather add salt later rather than come out to salty. Cooked in 300 oven for 45 minutes and it came out absolutely delicious and tender. This will be added to our regular rotation, cannot get over how great it is, will try to remember next time to start early enough to cook as written in a slow cooker, you have to look over us men who are the chief cooks and bottle washers of the household, but the wife could not stop raving about this meal last night, thanx so much for sharing this one, will be taking it to a few family reunions...once again thanx, Connie, the meat and the sauce are out of this world!

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2010
You have the correct title for this one, it is awesome. I, like any cook made just a few of my additions of garlic, an extra can of cream of celery with the mushroom, etc, but this is great, with any of your own additions I believe, an awesome roast, literally. Thanx so much for this one.

Angel Crisps

Good cookies but we had to lower the temp to 400 and raise our rack up to the third slots to keep the bottoms from burning.
