Overnight Apple Cinnamon French Toast

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2014
We liked it. Didn't have apple filling so used blueberry filling instead. Use an entire loaf of white bread and doubled the layers overlapping and distributing the slices to cover before pressing down into egg mixture. Will try adding cinnamon to the egg mixture next time. Did not invert the mixture and just scooped out of pan -- less dishes that way.

Best Lemonade Ever

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2014
Delicious. Took about 5-6 lemons to make 1.5 cups. I added all the water when I made the syrup and it turned out fine. Also floated thinly sliced lemon and orange slices to the punch bowl. It was the hit of the party and gone before any of the other beverages. Thanks for sharing.

Spaghetti Pie III

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2013
Excellent. I used mozarella instead of cheddar cheese due to family preference and doubled quantity. Added some basil and garlic powder to the cream cheese / sour cream mixture. Family raved about it. Will definitely make again. thanks for sharing.

Rich and Creamy Beef Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2013
Good. Took about 2 hours for the meat to be tender. I also doubled the gravy ingredients and served over hot noodles. I did not add the sour cream or cream cheese at the end (I forgot and everyone was hungry as it took longer than expected.)

Great way to use up leftover turkey. Very tasty. I used a can of green beans since that's what I had on hand.

Banana Cake VI

Reviewed: Oct. 21, 2012
I tried the recipe without making any changes. It did take about 1.5 hours at 275 degrees. Great banana cake - family devoured it. The good thing about Wisconsin is your whole backyard can become a freezer so finding room will never be a problem in the winter months. I freeze surplus bananas in the freezer. Simply thaw and unpeel when you need them. The skins turn dark brown but don't worry...they'll be fine to use in any baked goods.

Havana Slow Cooker Pork Tenderloin

Reviewed: Oct. 20, 2012
My family liked it. And who doesn't like the convenience of a slow cooker. Had a little zing to it. Excellent on some hard rolls or good buns.

Good but family didn't like it. Maybe too dense/heavy. Took it to work and it was devoured.

Downeast Maine Pumpkin Bread

Reviewed: Sep. 24, 2012
I followed the recipe exactly. Made 2 batches since all I had was a 29 oz can of pumpkin puree. The double batch made five 9x5 loafs. Baked for 60 minutes in convection oven. Very flavorful and delicious. Would make again.

Black Bean and Cucumber Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2012
Light, refreshing and tasty. Didn't have orange marmalade or the peach marmalade as called out by the other reviewer. Used black raspberry jam instead and canned corn. Such a versatile recipe that you can substitute the jam you have on hand as well as other ingredients. Recipe is definitely a keeper.

Oven Scrambled Eggs

Great and such an easy dish to make to serve a crowd at breakfast. I used a non-stick pan so I think I'll cut back on the amount of butter next time.
