About this Cook
I live in Fort Worth and have been cooking as long as I can remember, just not so much for pleasure as I do now. I recently married a wonderful man with 3 teenage boys....that being said I now have a very appreciative audience to cook for. They have learned to be a little wary when I announce that I am trying a new recipe though!
My favorite things to cook
I love anything savory but have recently started experimenting with baking since my new family definatley has "sweet teeth"!
My favorite family cooking traditions
My sister and I always make Sausage Cheese Biscuits on Christmas Morning. She hates to get her hands messy in the mixture so this year I introduced her to "food gloves" so we didn't have to fight over whose turn it was!
My cooking triumphs
I made my first cheese cake from scratch this year and a triple layer cake for my son's 18th birthday!
My cooking tragedies
The first cake I ever tried to make was when I was 18 and it was for my boyfriends birthday. It was a German Choclate cake and turned out lopsided and gooey!!

Broiled Scallops
Made these last night and they were a hit! Even the kids home from college loved them. The only things I changed was to use garlic powder instead of salt (on low sodium diet) and added black and red pepper. I also topped with fresh grated Parmesan cheese.

Jo's Rosemary Bread
I made this for Thanksgiving yesterday and it was a hit! I had never made bread before and don't have a bread machine so I was a little (okay...alot) nervous. I followed Muffinmoms review to a "T" and it was super easy and super tasty! I did use whole wheat flour instead of white and I put it in the refrigerator over night after first rise. I took it out of the Fridge and let it warm to room temp for about an hour before baking. It turned out perfect....thanks for a great recipe!

Amazing Pork Tenderloin in the Slow Cooker
Couldn't have been any easier and tasted great! I didn't change anything other than thickening the gravy with corn starch like some of the other reviewers did before serving over mashed potatoes! Awesome recipe for the slow cooker that doesn't call for cream of something soup!!
