Healthier Broiled Tilapia Parmesan

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2012
Wow! This was delish - definitely restaurant quality! I made this with the Olive Oil Miracle Whip and skipped half the butter. This was super easy to make and will be on our menu rotation for quite a while. I served the Tilapia over brown rice and sauteed zucchini and yellow squash with garlic, olive oil and parmesan cheese. YUMMY!

Aunt Ruth's Crab Cakes

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2011
Just made these for an appetizer for tonight's dinner...YUMMY! These are so good and easy, especially since everything is already in your fridge or cabinet! I followed the recipe exactly as written - the only thing I changed was to bake these instead of frying. Bake at 425 for 12 min., turning crab cakes halfway through cooking time. My whole family agreed these were as good as and possibly even better than served at restaurants. Chock full of crabmeat and very little filler. I would recommend using the Old Bay seasoning...gives the crab cakes that extra kick!Excellent! I posted a picture for the recipe.

Seafood Stuffed Zucchini

Reviewed: Aug. 15, 2011
This was very good! I have to admit, I'm getting tired of all of these reviews where people say "I used (blank) because it's all I had on hand." These are recipes and I rely on the reviews to know how they taste - not what you had on hand and how THAT tasted! Am I the only one that actually GOES to the store to buy the necessary ingredients to make a recipe??? There was nothing wrong with the way this recipe was written ...and yes, I followed the recipe and bought ALL necessary ingredients. Please just add this recipe to your circulation and buy all the ingredients and follow the recipe because you will find that this dish is really very good...just as written! Thank you Bill Pollackov for posting such a yummy recipe that my whole family loved!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Jan. 11, 2011
I just prepared this today for dinner. I was short on time so I set my slow cooker on high at 1:00 pm and served dinner at 5:30 pm. I prepared this just as instructed - absolutely no changes and it was awesome! My family all ate seconds, including my picky 15 y.o. son! My 13 y.o. daughter asked if I could pack this for her lunch for school tomorrow. I served this with garlic bread, fresh fruit salad and a nice Chardonnay for my husband and myself. Absolutely the BEST!

Awesome Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Reviewed: Jan. 26, 2010
I made these grilled cheese sandwiches tonight - I will never make them any other way again! These were so super easy! Don't be concerned about your bread being soggy at all - these came out perfect! I used 2 slices of American cheese per sandwich and followed the recipes exactly. Perfect!

Citrus Salmon in Parchment

Reviewed: May 6, 2009
I just prepared this recipe tonight for dinner and couldn't wait to review! This is so yummy - definitely a keeper for my family! I followed the recipe except added sea salt in addition to the lemon pepper seasoning. I love fresh ground sea salt with all of my fish recipes! This was no exception - it really brought out the flavor of the salmon. I loved using the parchment paper - made the salmon so tender and juicy! This is an awesome recipe to add to summer dinners! I added roasted red potatoes and sauteed asparagus as side dishes. I also poured the juices left over in the parchment paper over the salmon and we used fresh sliced french bread to dip in the juice - yummy!

Garlic Crab Artichoke Dip

Reviewed: Apr. 10, 2009
My daughter and I were anxious to try this dip hoping to duplicate what has become one of our family's faves at restaurants for an appetizer. Unfortunately, we listened to other reviewers and used the Onion/Mushroom Soup Mix since we couldn't find the Garlic Mushroom Soup Mix. What you get is a VERY strong dry onion soup mix flavor with a touch of artichoke dip instead of what I assume should be a "garlic crab artichoke dip" flavor. I gave this recipe 5 stars since it was my fault not being able to follow the recipe as given. I will not try this recipe again until I can find the Garlic Mushroom Soup Mix. Yes, my family ate this but I ended up throwing 75% of it away. I will keep my eyes out for the right soup mix and you should too.

Delicious Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2008
These really are delicious and the best! My daughter used this recipe in a church baking contest last summer and won first place! We've been making these cookies ever since. The only changes we make is using Butter flavored Crisco, whole wheat flour and adding peanut butter/chocolate swirled chips. Yummy!! These never last long at our house!

Double Chili Cheese Dip

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
I made this dip last night for an impromptu family gathering and since these are all items you keep on hand, this recipe was perfect to serve! I did not use the green onions since we don't like onions, I didn't have any, and I honestly don't think this dip needed them - the flavor was incredible! This dip was devoured within minutes of coming out of the oven. Very easy recipe...one that we will make again and again! We used Fritos Scoops as our "dippers." Yummy!!

Baked Zucchini Chips

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
These were awesome! Even my picky kids who do not like veggies devoured these dipped in Ranch dip. Yum! I changed things up just a little bit to add flavor. I sprinkled the Garlic & Wine seasoning from The Melting Pot restaurant into the Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Delicious! These are a definite keeper! Thank you for a great recipe!

Surprise Banana Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2007
This cake was very good. Unfortunately only my husband and I enjoyed it - my kids thought it was just okay. I followed the advice from one of the other reviewers and added the 1 tsp. cinnamon and 1/2 ts. nutmeg. The cake smelled heavenly coming from the oven! I frosted the cake with a very thin layer of cream cheese frosting which added a nice touch to this delicious cake!
