Sausage Breakfast Pizza

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
The first few times I made this the crust was soggy, so I decided to bake the crust for approx 5 minutes before adding the ingredients. Turned out PERFECT! Great for team breakfast at work.

Seasoned Oven Fries

Reviewed: Sep. 18, 2007
Yummy! I scaled the recipe down to 2 servings but still used a whole tsp of Seasoning salt... Turned out perfect- just as good as out of the deep fryer. Fiance says "I came through in the clutch" since we were out of oil for the fryer and we didn't feel like waiting an hour for baked potatos.

Slow-Cooker Chicken Tortilla Soup

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2007
If you live in the Southwest like I do this is just eh... Very BLAH even with additional spices. Might be all right without so much enchilada sauce, and definately without all the corn. I'll stick with my mother's recipe. Won't be making this one again.

Candy Cane Cookies III

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2007
The cookies tasted good but way too much time and effort for the end result. Added 1/2 tsp more of peppermint extract. Probably won't make again.

Country Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2007
I've made this three times now- every time it has been awesome! I would definitely recommend using Cheddar cheese and not substituting with a blend- it adds that extra flavor. I've also added bacon and bell peppers to change it up. Hash browns are also a good addition with the bread cubes. Fantastic! Will make over and over again!

Brooke's Best Bombshell Brownies

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2011
My new favorite brownie recipe! Perfect edges and corners for those people who like the chewy sides and nice moist fudgy middles for the non edge people! Made exactly as stated except I used white chocolate chips because that's what I had on hand. DELICOUS!

Fresh Southern Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Aug. 11, 2009
Yummy! I've made this twice now- the first time almost to a "t" and then the second time I made the following changes: I increased the dough by half, and waited till 5 mins before taking it out of the oven to put the cinnamon sugar on- this way and doesn't burn/brown. I will make this one over and over again! Thanks!

Chiliquilla

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2007
Great presentation. I was a little skeptical at first, but I was pleasantly surprised! Used flour tortillas- it was all I had on hand, used ground turkey instead of beef, and finally I added jalapenos and cilantro. This one is definitely making "the list".

Blonde Brownies I

Mixed the chocolate chips in instead of putting them on top- made exactly as stated otherwise. Delicous! Exactly what I was looking for- something brownie-meets-chocolate chip cookie!

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Aug. 30, 2011
Made almost exactly as stated in the recipe and it was scrumptious! This is a new breakfast favorite. My only changes are- I used frozen blueberries that I had frozen earlier this year, and used my mini processor for the topping. Pulsed all the ingredients until crumbly. Brought to work and got RAVE reviews.

Bechamel Sauce

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2011
YUM! Great basic recipe. I made almost as written except I used garlic powder instead of grated onion and didn't realize I bough 99% fat free broth so I added a chicken boullion cube too. Used it in a spinach/sausage white lasagna and it was FABULOUS. Everyone loved it. Will definately make again and again.

Three Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2010
Just realized this recipe was on the site. I've been baking these for years (over a decade). A high school friend of mine got the recipe from her grandmother. Easy peasy to make and delicious in taste. Those who gave bad reviews must have messed up the EASIEST recipe in the world. For a twist add a handful of chocolate chips or swirl in melted chocolate before rolling.

Made this for my supervisor's baby shower at work and everyone loved it! Couldn't find white cranberry so used white grape juice instead and only used 5 scoops of ice cream. Can't wait to make again!

Baked Potato Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2007
WOW! Amazing.. This was the BEST Baked potato soup/chowder I have ever had. I did make lots of changes, most of which came from other reviews. Like others I wanted this chunky but I couldn't wait overnight for my potato's to cool. Baked them at 375 for 80 mins then let cool for 10 and then placed in freezer for 20 before peeling and cubing. Cooked the bacon and mixed in when adding flour/salt/pepper. Used about 1/4 cup of flour, 1/2 cup half and half and 1/4 cup sour cream, 1 tsp hot sauce, and 1/4 cup jarred sliced jalapenos. Didn't add parsley- fiance won't eat anything green and leafy, but did add extra bacon on top with the cheese. This is going to be perfect for winter!

Red Potato Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 6, 2007
Delicious! Used regular sour cream, didn't have celery stalks or onion salt so I used celery salt, used prepared mustard instead of Dijon... Will definitely make again! Even my picky fiance loved it. ***Update- Just made this again today and forgot to add mustard- still had GREAT flavor, not sure which way I like it better!***

Sticky Monkey Brains

Reviewed: Jun. 15, 2007
AWESOME! Brought this to work for Friday breakfast... Rave reviews. Didn't have a bundt pan so I used a cake pan and doubled the recipe. Other than that I followed the recipe to a "T". I would recommend leaving it in the pan for a few mintues to cool before dumping it out- it allows for the bread to solidify somewhat. Will definitely bake again... and again... and again!

Very tasty. Used frozen blueberries instead of fresh, also thought 30 mins was too long. Baked for 25 mins and a few burnt on the bottom- will watch more carefully next time. I will deinitely bake again! Everyone at my work loved them!
