Hamantashen

Reviewed: Mar. 10, 2006
I made the dough the night before. My 10 year old rolled out the dough, used a glass to cut circles, filled with filling and pinched into triangles. It is important to put them in the freezer for at least 5 minutes before cooking them. The ones with cherry filling in my first batch came apart because I did not freeze them first. It was easy to eat them all at once!

Allana's Excellent Potato Soup

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2011
I thought it needed a few more spices - maybe a little more salt - maybe I didn't add enough to begin with. I did not include the cooked ham - that could have been part of the spice/flavor problem. I did add a can of Great Northern Beans. They added protein and fiber to the meal. Yum!

Chicken and Pasta in a Mango Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Mar. 27, 2009
I didn't have any ginger - so no ginger was used - I used 1/2 skim milk and 1/2 heavy cream. I added more salt and pepper and some paprika - but otherwise - very yum!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 12, 2008
This is the recipe I come back to every time I have overripe bananas! Note: if you use more than one loaf pan for all of the batter, your cooking time will be less.

Great recipe! I don't use the bacon - and I add a can of white beans (Great Northern) yum! I love the spiciness of the hot sauce.

Very good and easy to make. I used chicken breast since that is what I had in the house. Everyone in the house enjoyed the chicken.
