My favorite things to cook
Seafood, chicken or beef. Anything with mushrooms, balsamic vinegar, or wine. But if I can make it look pretty and taste good, I'll make it.
My cooking triumphs
I've finally started to get past measuring and timing everything exactly. I can eyeball ingredients and even tweek a recipe to fit my taste or what I have on hand. It's very encouraging.
My cooking tragedies
I was roasting a chicken in a glass baking dish (should've use a metal one) using a recipe that called for some water in the bottom of the dish. I said to add more water if some is cooked away, so I did. As soon as the water hit the dish, it shattered and spilt all over the inside of my oven! Luckily the chicken was on a rack as well, so I just finished cooking it and cleaned up the next day. :)
