Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2010
This is a oldie but goodie--served at my bridal shower in 1977!

Filipino Spaghetti

This sounded so odd, I thought I would give this a chance...should have stuck with my gut instincts. Found banana ketsup at the ethnic store and followed the directions, but this was so awful!

Amy's Po' Man Green Beans and Sausage Dish

Reviewed: Aug. 21, 2009
Green beans turned into mush with the long cooking time--a waste of perfectly good fresh beans.

Thank you for this old time delight! Grandma used to make this for us; always a treat to pop a jar open in winter & remember what a great summer we had.

Please don't spoil this delightful fresh salad by using canned tuna. Fresh tuna steak, lightly grilled and chopped ,adds so much more flavor and texture!

Ruby's Spicy Red Salad

Reviewed: Jul. 17, 2009
The salad ingredients are interesting--but it needs some kind of dressing. I added a simple vinegar/oil dressing and it was OK.

Lamb and Potato Skillet

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2009
Thanks for reminding me of this old Irish recipe! My Aunt Marie used to make this for me but called it "Sloppy Potatoes". Her Mom (my Gradmother O'Donnell) used to make it for the 6 kids to stretch the meat in their depression era days on the farm.

To all who are determined to use rice; that's OK...but this is a recipe for Lo Mein--noodles. Soba or whole wheat are traditional.
