Traditional Italian Sausage Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 21, 2011
I actually found this recipe when I was clipping my coupons. My husband thought it sounded good so we thought we would try it out before Thanksgiving to see if it would be good enough for the big day. Everyone liked it so we decided that we would do this instead of our usual cornbread/bread mixed stuffing. The Italian sausage and the garlic bread add flavors that I don't typically utilize for Thanksgiving but it works well. We had it with roasted chicken but I'm sure it will be fine with turkey. It was also great heated up the next day.

Dutch East Chicken Wings and Rice

Reviewed: Oct. 2, 2010
Our family enjoyed this recipe and it was very easy to fix. I didn't have the cayenne so I can't say that I followed it exactly. I used chili powder instead. Still very good, especially over the rice. Thanks for this recipe.

Coco-Cola Cake III

Reviewed: May 23, 2010
This was okay, but not the recipe I was looking for. I followed it exactly. When you cut a slice, the top (close to the frosting) was fudgy-like, and the bottom was more cake like. I think this has to do with pouring the warm frosting on the cake before it cools. Also, the frosting was very sweet. I would have preferred more cola-cocoa flavor and less sugar. The sweetness overpowered it. I had this cake many years ago and it was not this sweet. I will look for another recipe but I may keep this and just tweak it. As is, 3 stars and still very edible (especially if you like it really sweet).

Crab and Swiss Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 21, 2009
I usually try to follow a recipe exactly how it is before I start tweaking it. That being said, we liked it just as the recipe was written. I may play with it later by adding ingredients but this was great.

French Quarter Bread Pudding

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2002
This recipe is very good. I've made it about 6 times now, and I've been playing with it a bit. I must say that if you cover it, the raisins won't burn while it's cooking (learned the hard way). I serve it with a bourbon sauce and it's been a hit every time I've made it (even when I had to pick off the raisins). Thanks.

Crispy Fried Chicken

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2002
This is a great recipe and the whole family really enjoyed it. I added chili powder and Cavendar's Greek Seasoning to the listed ingredients. I know that sounds weird, but I always do my fried chicken this way and it works. With the added buttermilk/flour layering, it was excellent. Thanks Elaine.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2002
This is a very good recipe and we enjoyed it immensely. However, I did vary it a little bit. I used melba toast instead of saltines, pinch of celery salt, and a dash of worcestershire sauce. I also divided the brown sugar/ketchup glaze so I had half on the bottom and the other half on top. I waited until it was almost done, drained off the liquid and then added the glaze to the top. I didn't want the sugar to burn. It tasted great, was moist, and it didn't fall apart.

Holiday Dressing

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2000
This stuffing was soooo moist! It stayed moist through all the re-heating and it was never mushy. Just right. My husband loved it. By the way, we don't eat pork so I used 1 lb. ground beef and seasoned it with chopped onions, garlic, salt, pepper, and sage. It worked very well! Thanks for sharing this great recipe!
